Happy Thankful Thursday!
I am linking up with Lydia of Where the Wild Things Were and the Favorite Fotos linky. Thanks Lydia for hosting the party.
Hubby and I enjoyed a short road trip to the Finger Lakes area of New York. Our first stop was in Montour Falls New York. Montour Falls is 238 miles and close to a 5 hour drive from home. In Montour Falls we saw 3 named waterfalls just off the road. Seeing a waterfall after a heavy rain is actually the best time. We originally planned this trip back at the beginning of May, but they were having too much rain.
This is the She-Que-Ga Falls, it can be found at the end of Main St in Montour Falls New York. We had perfect weather and skies during our 3 night 4 day trip.
There is a small park area in front of the waterfalls with some benches for enjoying the view.
The She-Que-Ga Falls almost looks like it is going into the back of the town hall in Montour Falls NY. The scene below is used at the beginning of the Hallmark Mystery Movie Series called Aurora Teagarden.
I am not sure the id on this duckling. It was seen alone in the pool of the bottom of the waterfalls.
A view of the sky and Seneca Lake, Watkins Glen NY. The Finger Lakes area is named for it's series of long thin lakes and lots of vineyards. We visited parks and waterfalls around these lakes, Seneca Lake, Cayuga Lake and Keuka Lake.
We spent 3 nights at a hotel at the top of Keuka Lake. This was the view from our hotel.
I am thankful for good weather on our trips.
I am thankful to be healthy for long hikes.
I am thankful for all your visits and comments.
Thank you Michelle for hosting Thankful Thursday.
Thank you to Yogi the host of Skywatch Friday
Thanks so much for visiting and for your nice comments on my previous post. Have a happy day!

Hello Eileen,
Beautiful images of the many waterfalls! Hector Falls was wonderful.
Happy Thursday!
...you caught the waterfalls in this part of the Finger Lakes at their peak. I should get down there!
Too bad you didn't push on a little farther and come into Ontario. Would have been nice to see you and show you some birds.
Encantada!!Que maravilha esse verde e a cascata com as águas fartas.ADOREI! Lindo dia! beijos, chica
Wow! Such a lovely place with series of waterfalls and lakes - that looks scenic and serene to stay back and watch. That’s a cute duckling and hope the mama is around to protect her. Looking forward for more from the trip.
Gorgeous waterfalls! Thanks for sharing this great trip!
aw, pretty falls. a riding buddy of mine is in NY, Lake George, right now. I wish I could have ridden up with him...the timing was off.
impressive and beautiful!
Oh I love the waterfalls! How fabulous to see all of this. And yes, I'm thankful to for good health to enjoy the outdoors! Have a wonderful day my friend. Hugs!
A very beautiful place
i like your pictures on the waterfall
How beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing your trip. I love waterfalls, even if just water flowing fast over rocks in a stream, and when kids dam the stream up to make a swimming hole. Must go check out our local one today or tomorrow! Cascades over great height are so powerful!
I am thankful for YOU, Eileen!
The duckling is so cute! Love your photos☺
These waterfalls are beautiful, each in turn. My parents at some point took a trip into the Finger Lakes area on their own, years ago.
Those ducklings are very cute and the waterfalls are stunning. Pretty scenery too! Thanks for sharing Eileen and happy day to you.
aunt sarah falls is my favorite but all of them are really spectacular... I bet they sound as good as they look

Oh--you missed stopping and visiting with me!!!!
I live in Watkins--downtown area!!!!
maybe next time--unless I get moved back to Florida by then--just waiting on an apt opening down there!!
but I have lived in this area most of my life--
luv, di
Awesome! That is an area I've had on my radar but haven't made it there yet! Thanks for taking me via your great photos!
Wow, I am impressed by these views. Just gorgeous! Thanks for linking up!
Beautiful waterfalls!
I know Mallard ducklings have the dark eye stripe like the female Mallard, but other ducklings may have it, too. Mallards live just about everywhere, so chances are it is a Mallard. So cute whatever it is!
She-Que-Ga Falls is beautiful and I enjoyed all of your photos. Neat sign about the art work by King of France. Hector Falls is beautiful as well. Thanks for taking us along on your outing. Hope you have a happy weekend ahead!
The falls look amazing! nice gate away..

Hello Eileen
the view over the water is very beautiful to see (the last 2 photos) but the waterfall is really fantastic! I love water and in the Netherlands we have no waterfalls. At most some small streams hihi ..... So this is enjoying again :-)
