Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
Not my usual kind of critter, but I looked out my kitchen door to see this stray cat sitting at the bottom of our deck steps. He/she was intently watching the ground, once in awhile it looked ready to pounce on something in the ground, maybe a vole?
At times, I can look out on my deck and see 6 or more squirrels eating the bird food I put out. The birds do not stand a chance, these piggies eat as much as they can as fast as they can..
You can't see me! A White-throated Sparrow taking a break in our blueberry bush.
The Red-bellied Woodpecker will visit the suet feeder, when nothing else is available.
I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments !
Here is a list of my linky parties;
Also visit: I'd-Rather-B-Birdin. Thanks to the host Anni.

Hi Eileen!
Hope the wee cat has a warm home somewhere. and when food gets scarce. , might get a meal elsewhere.
Hello Eileen,
I am so happy that there aren't that many stray cats in the Netherlands! Otherwise I had a house full of them ...
The forest is also very close here but I have never seen squirrels, and that is strange!
I wish you a happy weekend and thank you for hosting!
The Woodpecker is very cute...and I love cats.
Have a nice weekend, Eileen, and a peaceful pre-Christmas time!
Que lindo,como sempre vejo aqui!
Lindo fim de semana! Bjs chica
It is always interesting to watch cats ready to pounce on something. You are blessed with so many beautiful critters coming to your yard to enjoy the bird seeds. Have a beautiful weekend!
Wonderful to see a Woodpecker at your feeder Eileen. Also A fabulous image of the moon in your last post. Thanks for hosting. hope you have a lovely weekend.
Beautiful photos!
Have a great weekend!
Hello Eileen,
The cat was very pretty, and it's not so often I can see a cat on your blog. The woodpecker is a beautiful bird.
Happy weekend!
lol, yew, the birds are good at hiding :)
I also share a squirrel today, but a red one. Ours are different from yours. When the trees are bare I can sometimes see them running from tree to tree very fast. Quite fun to watch but impossible to get a shot at.
Wishing you a great week.
beautiful pictures
I like the squirrel
The cat was a real surprise to see. Squirrels never miss a chance to eat the birds food. Nice photos os the birds.
Have a great day and a wonderful weekend and thank you for hosting.
that squirrel looks like he may have wiped out the bird buffet all by himself
...gray squirrels sure are eating machines! Thanks Eileen for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend.
Squirrels can be a challenge! I am quite sure that thirty percent of all the bird seed I put out, at minimum, is consumed by squirrels.
That is one well-fed squirrel, Eileen! :-)
Hello Eileen,
What a nice pictures.
So funny to see that squirrel and what a fantastic woodpecker you've caught for your camera.
Greetings, Marco
The red-bellied woodpecker is a very striking looking bird, Eileen. I hope you're well. All the best for the new week ahead.
Lindo e muito bem fotografados.
Um abraço e bom fim-de-semana.

Cats are keen hunters! Squirrels are voracious eaters!
Cute keen sight from the cat! Beautiful shots of critters from your yard
Happy weekend
The Red-bellied's are very active here, too. Bird seed doesn't stand a chance with that many squirrels around! LOL!

All critters count - even hunting cats!!! YAM xx
I'm happy to feed anything out there in the wet and cold. Squirrels, deer, birdies!
I love your squirrel photo. You can feel the texture of its fur!
Hi Eileen. Yes, those Grey Squirrels are nothing but pests. We have them and they are not even native, having replaced our Red Squirrels. Best to use Squirrel proof feeders if possible.
Enjoy your day and week ahead. And thanks for the link today.
So many of God's creatures right outside everyone's windows. We are blessed.
I like the perky squirrel, even if he does not make reservations for a table and brings the whole family.
i was surprised to see the cat...it looks very intent, it surely has something in it's sights!! what do the red-bellied like other than suet??
Cats are cute critters and we have about 3 wild ones that visit the yard on a regular basis, probably thinking they can get some birds! Have a good weekend.
Hopefully the cat went home leaving the yard to your wonderful group of birds, Eileen!
Haha, the sparrow looks like it’s playing peek-a-boo. These birds can camouflage so well.
The tortoiseshell cats are usually female...so I hope someone has had her "fixed" so she doesn't have more feral cats. They are so sad to see...but this one looks pretty healthy! We used to have a vole problem in my yard. Have a great weekend, Eilleen.
I dream about your photos, critters and places!
Red bellied woodpeckers are so pretty, at least suet isn't a loud thing for them to be pecking at. What a sweet camo kitty, could use it here to capture mice.
Lovely feathered friends photo ~ do hope the kitty found a home ~ Squirrels ~ 'tree rats' I can live without ~ ^_^
Happy Moments to You,

Those squirrels are quick to the draw for sure. We haven't seen many here at all. We had a fair share on the Seattle side of the mountains. Hope you are having a peaceful count down to Christmas!
I love the critters, everyone are beautiful.
That's nice ! I like the cat !
The squirrels are fun to watch.
A very patient kitty.
Lovely shots. Sweet little kitty. I like the Woodpecker

It's fun to see your critters. Thanks for hosting.
I love Woodpeckers, they always seem to me to be the most industrious of birds.

Olá Eileen,
passando para te desejar um bom Natal
e uma boa entrada de ano.
janicce.
Oh, I'm loving that cat!
I've yet to see a stray cat here but at the old farm there were lots of barn cats on neighbouring properties and sometimes one would visit my feeders.
Love the woodpecker, have yet to capture that one!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos! I always love to visit here! Tranquility is the word that comes to ind! have a wonderful week!
Beautiful.
The cat, is a female - Tortoise shell kitty's always are. I hope she finds safety and shelter somewhere. Outdoor kitty's as I've learned are pretty resourceful, just like the birds! :-)
Have a good week Eileen!!
Eileen - we are fortunate to have a feeder set-up that foils the squirrels. Chipmunks have figured it out - they are lighter - but they are underground now for the winter, so the food is reserved for our dear chickadees, nuthatches and downy/hairy woodpeckers! Enjoy your week ahead!
What a great collection of critters here …
I know not all like squirrels but I think they look so cute … nice to see the cat too.
Enjoy your week.
All the best Jan
What a delight seeing and observing all those critters in your yard, it is getting pretty busy!
I did try feeding again, but the starlings get the majority of it. They are not quite as bad as they were, but still dominate till I barely catch a glimpse of anything other than them and the house sparrow. The squirrels get some, but sure don't get it all. But I always throw a big scoop around on the ground...for them and for the juncos...
Such a sweet kitty!! Our red bellied woodpecker loves our suet, our peanuts and our sunflower seeds!
Me encantan los gatos.
Te deseo una Feliz Navidad 🎄🕯🕊 Merry Christmas Eileen. Que pases unos buenos días con tu familia.
Un abrazo.
A sweet kitty.
Love the Merry Christmas photo below. You have a variety of interesting critters but I don't care for cats especially stray ones that attack native wildlife.
A sweet kitty.
