Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
The Eastern Bluebird just stops by looks in one of the houses and leaves again. The Chickadee is still using this birdhouse.
These images were all taken from my dining room window, the feeders are all hanging from our deck.
The Rose-breasted Grosbeaks have been around for a few days, The last day I saw these male Grosbeaks was on May 3rd. I am still seeing a couple of females at my feeders as of May 11th.
Below is the pretty colorful male Rose-breasted Grosbeak with a female lower in the suet feeder.
The Gray Catbird is an occasional visitor to the feeder and my yard.
Below is the Gray Catbird with the Pine Warbler. They do not mind sharing the suet.
I was surprised to see and hear this Black-throated Blue Warbler tapping on our den window. I hope it does not make a habit of throwing himself against the window, the Cardinal gave up on his window reflection. Not the best photo, it was taken out the window and there are too many rhododendron branches.
Thanks to all my visitors and for all the wonderful comments. I appreciate everyone who loves critters and has linked up their critter post.

It's always worth looking out the window at you! This rose-breasted grosbeaks is an adorable bird the colors look so great but so do the other birds.
ReplyDeleteHopefully he will soon know better to walk in the bushes than to want to go in the window.

I wish you a nice weekend!

so beautiful image of the Bluebird and Catbird. Love to see them. And the Black-throated Blue Warbler, such a fighter. But not good behavior. I have seen it once. Think it was in Costa Rica. A bird was VERY angry on it´s reflection in a side mirror of a car. Take care Eileen, stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHello Monica,
DeleteI would like to go back to Costa Rica, there are so many birds there. Thank you for the visit and comment! Have a great day and happy weekend!

Hello Marit,
DeleteThe Catbird is pretty! Thank you for the visit and comment! Have a great day and happy weekend!
So great that the grosbeaks stayed around so long. We have many catbirds all winter but nearly all of them disappeared at once about two weeks ago. We usually see Pine Warblers during the winter, but I only saw one this year-- partly because the best spot for them was a park which has been closed. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteHello Ken,
DeleteYes, I was thrilled to see the Grosbeaks for almost 2 weeks. I do love all my yard birds. Thank you for the visit and comment! Have a great day and happy weekend!
The window shots are great. It's nice to see the birds stopping by for a bite to eat at the feeders. Have a wonderful day and weekend, Eileen and thanks for hosting.

Backyards do have a way of bringing joy don't they? Right now a make Baltimore Oriole is feeding on one of the oranges set out for him. Now that's not a bad way to start the day - for him, or for me.

DeleteGreat birds in todays post! I've never seen a catbird come to my suet...that is awesome. I hope that BTBW did not crash the window again this time of year birds get a little bit crazy! I have not had the hummers like normal how about you? I used to see like 4 or 5 hummers fighting on the feeder, this yr I've seen one male and one female.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sondra! The Catbirds come and go to the feeder, I do not see them every day. I usually only see a pair of hummer at my feeders, maybe more when the young are a little older. Happy birding, enjoy your day!
