Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
Hello and happy Saturday!
If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
Birding has been a little slow lately, I am still seeing some winter birds here, not many spring birds have arrived yet. I have been seeing the Carolina Chickadees working on their nests.
1. I have been seeing more Robins in my yard, they must be finding some tasty berries to eat.
2. March 18th a Canada Goose at the reservoir, looks like it is napping.
3. March 19th, we are taking the grand-dogs for a walk on the local fire road. Our weather was warm on this day, the temperatures have been all over the place lately.
"Sometimes all you need is good company."
4. March 22nd, our walk to the lake we saw a group of Canada Geese.
5. March 22nd hanging out at our lake with the geese were a male and female Hooded Merganser.
6. March 23rd, another walk with the grand-dogs on the fire road.
7. March 25th, hubby and I entertained our grandson Wyatt while our DIL took grandson Mason for his 2 month checkup. While waiting in the car, I watched a Mockingbird and a House Finch perched above on the gutter eating berries. Can you find the two birds?
Thank you for sharing your critters and post!

Oh yes, dearest Eileen, your grandson Wyatt really looks like a very happy boy - a real sunshine (like our Jamie <3 :-) So nice to see him again, and your grand dogs, too! You are right: "Sometimes all you need is good company."
ReplyDeleteIt's also a joy for me to see the birds you could watch... But I have to confess that I can't see two birds on your search pichture, just the one on the roof...
Have a wonderful weekend, dear!
Hugs from Austria, Traude

Hi Eileen, A good Saturday morning to you. Thank you for another fine Saturday’s Critters. I enjoyed all your photos and, of course, the highlight is the last one … Wyatt! Look at that smile … oh my goodness, so sweet! Thanks for the birding pics and the walks with the dogs. I am linking up this morning and hope you’ll stop by to see my newest post. Best regards to you from Seattle. Do take care and be safe! John
ReplyDeleteThank you John! Wyatt has a very sweet smile.
DeleteTake care, have a happy weekend!
yes I found them. House Finch was easy, the Mockingbird well hidden behind the berries :)
ReplyDeleteYou have good places for your walks.
We had a cold spring so far. Maybe that is why there seem to be a very low no of geese. Both the greylag and the canadagoose. I hope warmer tiems will come soon.
Take care! Your grandson is a sweetie :)
Thank you Monica! I wish we could see the Greylag Goose here.

Wyatt is the star this week Eileen. The birds are slow coming back this year. My favourite Robin is back and he comes for a bath every day around 5:30. I think he watches for me to put fresh water in the bath and then dives in.
ReplyDeleteThank you RedPat! Your Robin has a time schedule for it's bath.
DeleteTake care, have a happy weekend!
It sounds like your weather is like our own at the moment Eileen. today we've had April showers of hail and rain interspersed with warm sunshine. Young Wyatt is looking the picture of health and happiness, especially with his cookie.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to link up today and have a wonderful Sunday.
Thank you Phil! I hope our weather warms up soon.
DeleteTake care, have a happy weekend!
Your grandson is lovely and adorable....
ReplyDeleteI like all these bird pictures. And dogs are attractive too.
This week my critter photos are sculptures and not photos of any living creature.
Thanks for hosting. Have a great weekend!
Thank you Amila! I enjoyed your elephants sculptures.

Lots of good walks and birds seen along the way I barely found the mockingbird but then there it was...The temps keeping going up and down my extra blanket just can't seem to get put away this year...Your grandson is def growing next thing you know he will be in school!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend.
Thank you Sondra! Hubby and I and the dogs are enjoying our walks. I hope to start seeing more migrant birds moving through. Take care, have a happy weekend!

Hello Eileen, This is my third attempt to make a comment, must have been something I did that I shouldn't have done.:=( Anyway many thanks for hosting again, it's always a pleasure to visit. Love the photo of young Wyatte. He is such a handsome boy. I saw both birds, but it took a while to see the Mocking Bird. Our robins seem to stay with us all year, as they are always at the feeders. Your American Robin is a beauty. Lovely photos of you enjoying your walks with your Grand-dogs, and seeing the wildlife along the way.
DeleteHave a happy weekend.
Thank you Sonjia! The Mockingbird was hidden well. I am sorry you had so much trouble commenting. I do appreciate your visit and comment. Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend.

Wyatt is darling and I can't believe Mason is already 2 months old. wow. I hope their home is coming along well. Love seeing the two of you each with a dog. they look happy and are keeping you on your toes... I can't imagine having a 13 month and a 2 month at the same time. 2 years apart was hard enough
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandra! Having two babies that close does keep the family busy. The dogs are keeping us more active, walking more. Take care, have a happy weekend!
DeleteAll the critters are cute and nice, but your bonus photo is top!
ReplyDeleteWyatt looks very handsome.
Enjoy your weekend with Wyatt's smile!
Thank you Luisella!

ReplyDeleteThank you Bob! Have a great weekend!
DeleteGood morning Eileen, I really like my weekends off so I can post early! Wyatt is just adorable, you are spot on he looks like a really happy boy. Yes I found both birds, almost gave up on the second one that's hiding in plain sight, really cool capture I totally would have missed had you not said to look for it. Great outing you had again with your grand-pups, we've been having a bit too cold, windy, rainy then snowy weather here, today is proving much better. 50 right now! Enjoy your weekend and take care.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen! We do enjoy our outings with the grand-dogs and we love seeing our sweet grandsons too.
DeleteWe are having on and off rain showers today and still a bit chilly. Take care, enjoy your weekend!
Little Wyatt does look happy! Oh, yes, I can spot the birds at the eaves. Such a sweet spot for them to hang out and feel safe, especially once the foliage starts to grow back.

Oh, Eileen...Wyatt has such a sweet smile...he looks like he as a gentleness about him. I was looking for a second sparrow, so had to read the comments to see the mockingbird...I had seen it, but was so zoned in looking for another sparrow.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rose! The Mockingbird was well hidden behind the vine and berries.
DeleteTake care, have a happy day!
Wyatt is adorable, but I didn't know he has a brother now. That's what I get for not blogging every day, I guess. And I always skip posting on Saturdays, your day for a post. At least I catch up with you most of the time.
