1. March 20th, I am sharing a mosaic of my back yard birds, the Eastern Bluebird couple, a first sighting of the season for the Chipping Sparrow and our visiting Peacock on top of our swing.
2. I am not sure if my Bluebirds like the Peacock sitting so close to their birdhouse.
3. This was my first Chipping Sparrow sighting of the season .
4. The neighborhood Peacock likes to sit on top of the swing. Maybe it feels safe there.
5. March 20th, our walk on the local NCR bike trail with Miney, I was able to get a nice photo of the Eastern Phoebe, a Great Blue Heron was spooked and flew down the stream.
6. At this time in late March I was hearing more of the Eastern Phoebe, sometimes I hear them before I actually see them. They like to hang around the streams.
7. A walk with Miney on another section of the NCR bike trail in Bentley Springs, Parkton Md.
8. Another Florida Flashback April 2015, photo taken at Biolab Rd Merritt Island NWR. A large group of White Pelicans, Roseate Spoonbills, Egrets and White Ibis.

This is a beautiful series of photos.
I really like the pair of Eastern Bluethroats, they do not occur in the Netherlands.
There are so many white pelicans, red spoonbills, egrets and white ibises there, I have never seen so many together.
How wonderful that you can walk so well with Miney.

Of course I loved your birds, and seeing Miney. But oh my, what a treat today: as a resident of Merritt Island for 23 years ... it was a delight to once again see our water birds, our manatee ... my files overflow with similar images ... thanks for the walk down memory lane!

Lovely collection of photos. The Eastern Phoebe, Bluebirds, and Chipping Sparrow are all delightful images. Even when the Peacocks tail in closed, and seen from the back. it is still beautiful.
Nice to see Miney walking the paths with you, and your two Florada flashbacks are stunning captures. I have never seen a Manatee or such a large group of birds. Thank you for hosting Eileen, and have a happy weekend.

This Peacock has adopted our neighbors, he strolls around like he owns the place.

Wild peacocks are occasional sightings in my neck of the woods, too, and it's always good to see them seemingly unafraid. Happy Mother's Day, Eileen, and thank you for providing this home to fellow nature lovers from around the globe. :)

Hello Eileen and wow love the photo of your Peacock aren't they just a beautiful bird it amazes me every day. Just a bit ago ours gave us his fan dance as we call it. They do love their high places to perch especially this time of year with that long tail of feathers. Can you imagine trying to sit on that. Have a Happy Mother's Day to you tomorrow!
