Saturday’s Critters #4
I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas holiday. If you do not celebrate Christmas I hope you enjoy your holiday.. I thank all my blogging friends and visitors for their visits and comments over the past year. I have to say I enjoy blogging and visiting everyone's blogs...I wish everyone all the best in 2014..Happy New Year..
These are some of my backyard birds and some critters seen in my sister's yard on Christmas Day..
There were about 5 deer seen in my sister yard.. she feeds them corn and has a salt lick.. Sorry the pole is in the way some...
I have been seeing a lot of the White-throated Sparrows in my yard.. they are one of my winter birds.
The Bluejay is a year round visitor and love the peanuts.
I hope to see everyone join in on the critter party, link up your blog post sharing your cute critters. Any kind of critter will do. I am sure most everyone knows how to put a link on your post for Saturday's Critters. Also, I hope everyone will take some time and visit with some of the other bloggers linking up.......
I am so happy you joined in on my Critter party....I hope to see you linking up again..
Also please visit: I'd-Rather-B-Birdin. Thanks to the gracious host: Anni of I'd Rather-B-birdin. Also, sharing with Camera Critters. Thanks to Misty for hosting.

Hi Eileen. I m sure you had a great time on Christmas Day at your sisters. Great citters in her yard.
ReplyDeletenice to see the deers. Remined me that I have not seen them in the area so far this "winter". They probably stay in the woods as this winter is still warm.
ReplyDeleteA whole different yard, and so many lovelies once again.
ReplyDeleteHAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY EILEEN.
I've seen one white throated sparrow here (can't remember what time of year it was), and just love their plumage. Thanks for hosting Eileen!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful scenery ! Amazing !

ReplyDeleteI love the deer. They are so pretty. Happy New Year, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteIt's been a pleasure knowing you and following your blog too, Eileen. The White-throated Sparrow looks like our Bunting. Sorry I haven't posted on Saturday Critters. I will do again next week. Greetings, Jo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful are the bird photos!
ReplyDeleteHello Eileen,
ReplyDeleteWOW, your sister is lucky to have deers in her backyard! A salt block is important to them for minerals and it always attracts them.
I am delighted to discover the white-throated sparrow, what a gorgeous little bird!
Happy New Year to you too, I wish you all the best and great observation opportunities!
Keep well!
oh eileen, the deer always take first place for me, always!!

Love the scenes from your backyard. The deer are special in your sister's backyard.
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy New Year. I hope to join in in the coming year.
Hmmm,we need to get another salt lick...we were just talking about that!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that blue jay! Happy New Year, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!! You are one busy lady!! I much prefer these kinds of parties than the ones we humans must attend:)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to see the deer so close. Great shots of your backyard birds too. I love the one of the Bluejay.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird and deer!!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
So sweet to see the deer grazing near the feeders. I've only seen a white-throated sparrow a scant few times here and just love those bright yellow marks above their eyes.
ReplyDeletewhite throated sparrow is a very handsome bird
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing the deer with the salt lick block. I've talked about using them in gardening lectures I give but have never seen one in action. The farm where I buy eggs sells the blocks and mounts to put them on a tree.
ReplyDeleteThe white throated sparrow is a common visitor here as well, cute little things.
Thanks for hosting Eileen and have a very happy new year.
Judith
Beautiful post and wonderful pictures, greetings
ReplyDeleteWow she has many critters in her back yard.
ReplyDeleteMerle...........
I'm back again today to thank you for linking up at the Bird D'Pot this weekend Eileen.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays and New Year 2014.
ReplyDeleteWonderful critter shots as always.
i love the birdies. so fluffy. how cold are you there in MD? ( :
ReplyDeleteHey, Eileen, those are some great critter shots! I love seeing all of your birds. I think I'll join in today since I posted a heron.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays, there Eileen.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit. It is appreciated. Longwood Gardens is a very nice place to visit, but I have not been down there since the last time. The Christmas Display was on the schedule to go, but it snowed a bit heavy that day. Could not see driving a hour away in weather like that. It runs to Jan. 2nd. Maybe I'll get there, cause I'm told that it's so pretty to see. Have a great Holiday, Eileen.
Much fun, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I enjoy all of your photos of your critters. I'm happy to say that your sister has more deer visiting her yard than we have visiting ours!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of birds.
ReplyDeleteWow! Lovely critter captures!
ReplyDeleteLove the deer and the puffed up bluejay
ReplyDeleteHappy new year dear Eileen. May 2014 be a great year !
