Saturday’s Critters #4
I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas holiday. If you do not celebrate Christmas I hope you enjoy your holiday.. I thank all my blogging friends and visitors for their visits and comments over the past year. I have to say I enjoy blogging and visiting everyone's blogs...I wish everyone all the best in 2014..Happy New Year..
These are some of my backyard birds and some critters seen in my sister's yard on Christmas Day..
There were about 5 deer seen in my sister yard.. she feeds them corn and has a salt lick.. Sorry the pole is in the way some...
I have been seeing a lot of the White-throated Sparrows in my yard.. they are one of my winter birds.
The Bluejay is a year round visitor and love the peanuts.
I hope to see everyone join in on the critter party, link up your blog post sharing your cute critters. Any kind of critter will do. I am sure most everyone knows how to put a link on your post for Saturday's Critters. Also, I hope everyone will take some time and visit with some of the other bloggers linking up.......
I am so happy you joined in on my Critter party....I hope to see you linking up again..
Also please visit: I'd-Rather-B-Birdin. Thanks to the gracious host: Anni of I'd Rather-B-birdin. Also, sharing with Camera Critters. Thanks to Misty for hosting.

Happy New Year to you, Eileen, and thanks for sharing some special visitors.
Nice post again Eileen....... wish you a lovely weekend.
greetings, Joop
Hi Eileen. I m sure you had a great time on Christmas Day at your sisters. Great citters in her yard.
nice to see the deers. Remined me that I have not seen them in the area so far this "winter". They probably stay in the woods as this winter is still warm.
A whole different yard, and so many lovelies once again.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY EILEEN.
I've seen one white throated sparrow here (can't remember what time of year it was), and just love their plumage. Thanks for hosting Eileen!
This is a wonderful scenery ! Amazing !
Best regards, Synnöve
Deer are my favorite animal (besides dogs). Great photos!
It's nice to see that your sister has wildlife in her yard too. :)
It's always a pleasure to drop in ... especially to see all your critters!! I look forward to 'visiting' you a lot more during 2014 and joining in your critter parties!! Happy New Year from downunder!!
A Happy and Prosperous New Year to you Eileen. Thank you for hosting Saturday Critters into 2014- I'm sure it's going to be a huge success.
I love the deer. They are so pretty. Happy New Year, Eileen!
It's been a pleasure knowing you and following your blog too, Eileen. The White-throated Sparrow looks like our Bunting. Sorry I haven't posted on Saturday Critters. I will do again next week. Greetings, Jo
Beautiful are the bird photos!
Hello Eileen,
WOW, your sister is lucky to have deers in her backyard! A salt block is important to them for minerals and it always attracts them.
I am delighted to discover the white-throated sparrow, what a gorgeous little bird!
Happy New Year to you too, I wish you all the best and great observation opportunities!
Keep well!
oh eileen, the deer always take first place for me, always!!
my white throated sparrows have returned also. it's amazing how bright that pop of yellow is above their brows. your looks wonderful in that tangled tree!!
Thanks to you Eileen, it is a pleasure....... when I have a few minutes!!! ;-)
i saw a white-throated here this week. i was rather surprised. :) love the deer. guess i should stop complaining about squirrels raiding all the feed...

Love the scenes from your backyard. The deer are special in your sister's backyard.
Have a Happy New Year. I hope to join in in the coming year.
Hmmm,we need to get another salt lick...we were just talking about that!...:)JP
Oh, I love that blue jay! Happy New Year, Eileen!
Happy New Year!!!! You are one busy lady!! I much prefer these kinds of parties than the ones we humans must attend:)
How exciting to see the deer so close. Great shots of your backyard birds too. I love the one of the Bluejay.
Beautiful bird and deer!!
Have a nice weekend!
So sweet to see the deer grazing near the feeders. I've only seen a white-throated sparrow a scant few times here and just love those bright yellow marks above their eyes.
white throated sparrow is a very handsome bird
I enjoyed seeing the deer with the salt lick block. I've talked about using them in gardening lectures I give but have never seen one in action. The farm where I buy eggs sells the blocks and mounts to put them on a tree.
The white throated sparrow is a common visitor here as well, cute little things.
Thanks for hosting Eileen and have a very happy new year.
Judith
Beautiful post and wonderful pictures, greetings
Wow she has many critters in her back yard.
Merle...........
I'm back again today to thank you for linking up at the Bird D'Pot this weekend Eileen.
Happy holidays and New Year 2014.
Wonderful critter shots as always.
i love the birdies. so fluffy. how cold are you there in MD? ( :
Hey, Eileen, those are some great critter shots! I love seeing all of your birds. I think I'll join in today since I posted a heron.
Happy Holidays, there Eileen.
Thanks for your visit. It is appreciated. Longwood Gardens is a very nice place to visit, but I have not been down there since the last time. The Christmas Display was on the schedule to go, but it snowed a bit heavy that day. Could not see driving a hour away in weather like that. It runs to Jan. 2nd. Maybe I'll get there, cause I'm told that it's so pretty to see. Have a great Holiday, Eileen.
Much fun, Eileen!
Once again, I enjoy all of your photos of your critters. I'm happy to say that your sister has more deer visiting her yard than we have visiting ours!
Great shots of birds.
Wow! Lovely critter captures!
Love the deer and the puffed up bluejay
Happy new year dear Eileen. May 2014 be a great year !
I am happy to see all your photos of nature in the past, thank you for sharing, will link up soon. Happy New Year Eileen.
I love the cute little sparrow! Happy New Year!
What wonderful backyard visitors!
So beautiful visitors!
I wish you a healthy, peaceful and happy 2014!
