Around the Yard

I have a list below of memes I am joining for this week, and to save time I am doing one post for all. They are all fun memes to participate in...I hope you can join in with the fun  and check out some of the participating posts. Special thanks to all the wonderful host and their memes, I hope you have some time to check them out.

May 4th is our 26th Anniversary, the years have flown by.  I am thankful for my hubby and all the happy years! That is my recent news and now for some scenes from around my yard and neighborhood. We found an Bald Eagle's nest at our lake, it is kind of a distant view but I have various photos to share of our walk to the lake and some of our blooming trees and plants.

The Eagle's nest I found at the edge our lake.

Our view across the lake, the eagle's nest is hardly visable, a Goldfinch and a Canada Goose, hubby and the end of the fireroad at the edge of the lake and last is a view of the trail thru the woods.

Our walk on the fireroad ends here, a great view of our reservoir.

One of the Great Blue Heron's nest in our neighborhood.

"Spring is when life is alive in everything." Christina Rosetti

Some blossoms and blooms from our yard. The Redbud tree, Azaleas, Creeping Phlox, unknown blossoming bush and dogwood blooms.

Our little pond, some creeping phlox and we have some white waterlilies that have been coming back every year.

I have traveled past this farm and barn too many times to count during the 27 years we have lived in our house.

For Tom's Barn Collective I have drive by shots of some neighborhood barns.

Thank you for visiting and for the nice comments. As always, thanks to the wonderful group of hosts listed below.

  34. Two fabulous nests in such a close proximity to your home. We live a mile from the Patapsco River but I've only seen a blade eagle once in the 10 years we've lived here. At our new apartment, Lake Kittaqumundi (I will have to learn how to spell that) is just a short walk. I know there's a heron rookery at the northern end of that that I look forward to checking out.

  57. For all the trips you take to other conservation areas Eileen, I think you have the BEST spot right outside your own door. That's amazing that you have both a bald eagle nest and a GB heron nest within walking distance. Love the photo of the heron. I can see the eagles' nest across the lake in that one shot. It must be great to watch them fishing in the lake! You have lots coming up in the gardens too! I'm still waiting for just ONE flower to bloom here ... maybe by the weekend! Enjoy your week,
    Wendy

So far the rabbit here leave the tulips alone and we don't have deer here, thankfully. Great photos, especially the barn. Love your water feature, especially the frog. He seems right at home.
