Florida 2016

Hello,

I am back after a trip to Florida and a quickie stop to see my sister's new place near Myrtle Beach North Carolina. I think I managed to take a few fence shots, sky shots and my usual birdie photos. These images are from Lakeland Florida.

Skywatch at the lake.

A neighborhood Limpkin.

A couple of White Ibis seen on the Walmart parking lot.

A nice sitting area near the lake.

Neighborhood Tricolored Heron and possible a Mottled Duck. The Florida birds were very cooperative posing near the fences.

Another view of the lake, palm tree and sky. I hope you enjoyed your visit. I appreciate your nice comments. Enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!

Here is a list of linky parties for part of the week, I hope to see you there. I have a few fence and my deck railing for Tex's Party and some pretty sky shots.

Thanks to Theresa @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences.
Thank you to Sylvia, Yogi and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday.

  5. Hi Eileen--looks like a beautiful place. One doesn't usually think of going to Florida in the summer, but as hot and humid as we've all been this summer, I guess that didn't matter!
Glad you had a good time.

  14. beautiful lake views... and oh boy, that Limpkin is trouble, they make an unholy noise that will keep you up at night or day time make you grit your teeth. my friend lives on a lake and last year during mating season they considered putting a hit out on the local two limpkins...

  15. Looks like you had a lovely visit to Florida and the birds do seem cooperative! But isn't Myrtle Beach in South Carolina? We went there once 40+ years ago when my husband was stationed at Fort Jackson.

  20. It is amazing how many fences we build, most of which we would have never noticed were we not posting in Theresa's Meme. These are fun shots, Eileen and love all the birds just casually hanging out.

    Florida is just amazing!
    Beautiful shots of those birds!
I was saying to someone that I was amazed that they are direct descendants of cannivore dinosaurs and just a few monts ago I found out that some paleontologists discoverd some velociraptors fossils and there were feathers impressions!!! Meaning that velociraptors wore feathers!
    Have a nice day
