Saturday's Critters #135
Happy Saturday, it's time to share your critters and post. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who is linking in with this week's critter party.
Everything is OK but, I will be away from my computer but as soon as I can I will be visiting everyone who links up and everyone who leaves a comment.
Not sure which Damselfly?
Male Downy woodpecker. Tractor Supply started selling these suet balls, perfect size for this feeder. The birds loved the suet too.
Eastern Box Turtle on the fire road
I am pretty sure all the butterflies in this post are the Great Spangled Fritillary.

Beautiful pics :)
Have a nice weekend.
Gorgeous! Today I watched a female Downy at our feeder, but she was gobbling seed. Huh. I wonder if I have bugs in the feeder.
Beautiful photos, Eileen, thank-you for hosting!
Your insect images are wonderful!
the name is easy enough: Beautiful demoiselle. Right! We have it but this season I have rarely seen it. :( I have seen males, like this one, but no females.
thanks for hosting.

Lots of nice critters here. Good shots too.
At least it wasn't a damselfly in distress
Beautiful damselfly and butterflies, lovely colour. Happy to see the bird enjoying its meal and turtle is cute too! Have a great weekend!
Eileen, I love everything in your photos...and the shades of green are fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing and I hope you are having a great weekend.
Good Morning Eileen. I can't help you with the damselfly or the butterfly I'm afraid. But the Downy is a real beauty isn't it? Have a good morning wherever you are and thanks for letting me join in today.
Life is good to be with these feathered friends

Eileen, as ever, I breathed a little lighter for visiting your place today! Those 'buttiepillars' are gorgeous and the rest of the critters are not bad either!!! Blessings to you this weekend. YAM xx
Your butterflies are beautiful and the turtle adorable. Good capture of the damselfly as they don't stay still for long!
Happy Weekend Eileen :)
Wow - great butterfly photos - they are my favorite - I've still never gotten a photo of one - they seem to flit off so fast.
I love the butterflies and the woodie is very handsome. Have a wonderful weekend, Eileen!
All such neat photos! Love the turtle. I remember getting to buy box turtles at the dime store to keep as a pet. We had a little turtle graveyard in the backyard too. Enjoy your weekend! Hugs!
Hi Eileen, I believe you have an Ebony Jewelwing.
Lovely critters, all!
(I'm still finishing my post...I might go out to try for a better pic of my own damselfly, I think it's a Familiar Bluet)

beautiful captures eileen, many of the regular summer critters!!! where are all the butterflies this summer??? i have only seen one and i really miss them!!
beautiful captures of the dragonfly and the woodpecker, they sure do love their suet!!!!!
I think your damsel is an Ebony Jewelwing. Nice image! Good to see box turtles-- they are very scarce in our neighborhood, and plans to turn the wetlands into a reservoir will seal the fate of most of them. Enjoy your respite, and thanks for hosting us!
Boa tarde, as fotos como sempre acontece, através do seu excelente dom, são maravilhosas, tem nitidez e detalhes.
Votos de boas ferias com felicidade.

Love that turtle ~ all wonderful nature shots!
Wishing you a Happy Weekend ~ ^_^
I hope that you are well... and just taking a break! I wonder if I can get a feeder for suet balls like that? Pretty sure the squirrels won't be able to eat off of that one! Hugs!
I love all the butterflies, Eileen. Have a great weekend and a wonderful new week.
Thank you Eileen for hosting and for your great critter photos. I'm joining in this week. Great captures of the turtle and butterflies. I'm glad that damselfly stayed still long enough for you to get a snap in!

Wonderful critter captures, Eileen! Have a wonder-filled weekend!
We have lots of blue damselflies here. We also have Sundews which act like a Venus flytrap and catch them to digest. Not a pretty sight. - Margy
You have a wonderful gift in order to capture those butterflies, Eileen!! My fluttering visitors do not light long enough and when they do, I am camera-less...:)JP

Lots of great critters, Eileen! I noticed your Downy has red over more of its head than most. One of our juveniles looks like he's wearing a red cap, too.
No shot of a beautiful critter is wasted. (Thank you Mother Nature)

Nice set of 'critters' - deepest winter here, so I dont see many creatures that look like these.
