Watery Wednesday,,

These a few of my pic's from a cruise to Alaska we took a few years ago. LOL, we saw a lot of water on the cruise and I thought it would be appropriate for Watery Wednesday. Our cruise included cruising Glacier Bay which is a national park, Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan. While cruising the Glacier Bay a park naturalist boarded our cruiseship to talk with the passengers and answer any questions.

Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska

When we reached Juneau my son and I took a city tour which included the Meadenhall Glacier, a Salmon fishery, and a neat garden. The Meadenhall Glacier was wonderful and you can see signs of the glacier melting and receeding. A section of the glacier looked like a waterfall. I am not sure how often this happen but the whole time we were in Alaska the temps were in the 90's.  We had great weather.

The Meadenhall Glacier

This Eagle greeted us at the Juneau pier when our ship docked, I think it knew I was coming and that I love Eagles.

Please click on my Watery Wednesday link to see more great photos.

Thanks for looking at my pictures and my blog. A special thanks to the hosts who put Watery Wednesday together for all of us to enjoy.

The colour of the water in your first shot is unbelievable. But it looks pretty cold!

Beautiful views of the mountains from the water. This has got to be one of the world's most spectacular cruises.

It's looks like you had good weather for your cruise too! When my family and I were in Juneau it rained up until like 6:00, but then we were able to go up on top of Mt. Roberts. It was so beautiful!

How beautiful your pictures are. We have been thinking of a cruise to Alaska.....I just think I would enjoy someplace that gets over 90 degrees better, but Hubs likes it cooler than I do so who knows...

Ooooh, I like these scenes. Alaska! I think I would rather visit a cold country than one that was too hot!
Lovely to be so close to that eagle.

Oh beautiful! Alaska is such a big white blank space on our map of states where we've been. We really want to go there, not sure if we want to go on a cruise or try to take the RV. Hope we can do it one way or the other sometime.

Meantime, your pictures are fabulous. Thanks for sharing.

These are beautiful..I have cousins in Anchorage. The last time I visited was back in 1970! We camped out (family) with my parents (S. Calif) and dad's sister's family (from San Diego). We drove all the way..was a blast & very memorable.
The photos here look so intense..sounds like you had a great time with your family..and that Eagle-how nice! Hey, thanks for the stopping by with the B Day wishes too-
