These are some shots from my backyard and one of the pretty trees on my street. Being stuck inside with my arm in a cast has not been fun and I get bored stuck in the house after a while. I have been checking out my yardbirds, looking out every window in my house. I did enjoy watching the Food Network and all the cooking shows during my two weeks at home. Maybe someday I will learn how to cook like Giada, Paula Dean and Rachel Ray. I am nearing the end of being stuck in the house. I have a follow up with the doc tomorrow and I am suppose to be able to go back to work on Tuesday.
I do admit I was happy to be able to stay safe at home with the snow storms happening the two weeks I was off work.
Below, seeing blue skies poking thru are very welcome and looking very pretty.
The skies eventually turned all blue and now the snow is falling off the trees. My bird feeders do get busy during snowstorms and they are always fun to watch. I managed to get some OK shots of the bluejay on my deck. Next, I will be feeling blue because I have to be back in the routine of working five days a week and missing my yardbirds.

It will be nice when we do not have to look for our mailbox down the street because the snowplow knocks it off as it goes by.
I did notice that the bluejays like the cracked corn besides peanuts.
I am not really a snow and winter person and I am really looking forward to Spring. It would be great to see some signs of an early spring. The thought of some pretty bluebirds nesting in my yard sounds really nice right now.
I am linking up with Mary's Mosaic Monday and Sally's Blue Monday and That's My World. Thanks to both Mary and Sally and the gang at That's My World for hosting these fun memes.
Also, thanks for the well wishes and for visiting my blog. Stay safe, warm and have a great week!

I laughed out loud at the thought of your mailbox going astray! Not funny for you, I'm sure. Good luck at the doctor's :-)
I can't imagine what it would be like to be house bound.I hope things go well with the doc.I did enjoy all your snow scenes, and yes,I too am waiting for spring.
Ruth
What gorgeous pictures of the bluejay!
Lovely snow scene, and the Bluejays, it is so beautiful.
I love winter and I love snow, Eileen.. BUT---we don't get nearly as much snow as you all get. We've had quite a bit of snow so far this winter--but nothing BIG. I'd love to have at least one big, pretty one ---one that clings to everything. THEN--I'll be ready for spring... ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Beautiful collages, as usual! Good luck at the doc--hopefully you'll be able to get back to your normal activities.
The white snow and the blue clouds make a perfect scene!
I hope you stay warm!
You have to look for your mail box..gosh, I can't imagine living in those elements! (lol)..I had no idea you injured your arm like that! Wow..my friend broke her wrist a couple months ago slipped in the kitchen at night- on the floor she previously waxed ha ha- terrible hu. So, she had her cast taken off early cause she couldn't stand it!! Well, my sympathy goes out to you..and for a speedy recovery! Pay attention to the cooking shows while you can (smile) Anyhow- a beautiful mosaic indeed and love the little birds expression:)
It's hard to be stuck inside, but if you have to, at least this is a good time ... all that snow. Beautiful shots and jays are so entertaining. Hope all is well at the docs.
Beautiful snow pictures. I hope everything is good to go on Tuesday. But with your arm in a cast there was no shovelling of all the snow, a good thing. Take care and have a wonderful week.
You're snowy world is gorgeous! My snowy world are huge snow plow piles and mess :)
Stunning shots!
If you have to be stuck inside, it'd nice to have a pretty view! I hope that cast will soon be off.
Winter does have it's beautiful scenery! I love that you added the bluejay in you collage. perfect!
having your arm in a cast is certainly a time for "self" as I found a couple of years ago. So take the time for yourself and enjoy!
And thankyou for bringing these lovely winter photos to my sunny Australia!
How beautiful, Eileen! Love the blue jay photos! We had 6 inches here and were snowbound for 5 days! lol Happy week!...hugs...Debbie
Good luck at the doctors tomorrow! You won't miss seeing your birds. You have the bird cam!
Really lovely and I love the picture of the blue jay! Wishing you well! Cathy
Hope your appointment with your doctor goes well and that you can go back to work, I think the snow is very pretty on the trees. I very much like your wonderful shot of the blue jay!
Amazing wintry scenes!
The mosaic is beautiful!
Happy new week Eileen.

Your snow looks so beautiful, Eileen! Not all dirty and piled into mounds like it is here.
What a hassle to have to keep looking for your mailbox. Tell that plow driver to be more careful!
I hope your hand is feeling better and that you'll be able to work without problems. Stay safe in the upcoming storm!
Doesn't sound like that you are going to enjoy retirement if you don't like being home all day. Although having one hand/arm out of action could be a bother more than the being at home. Hope it is better soon. The snow pics are very pretty too. Having to hunt for your mail box is a novel activity. Mr Bluejay is very handsome.
It may not be a misfortune to break your arm, Gosh.
You have been able to enjoy more looking at your backyard.
But please don't curse me because of the first sentence. lol.
Your wintry scenes do look lovely, especially with a bit of blue sky showing (that is something we are sorely missing!)
I am sorry to hear that your arm is in a cast. Bummer! But on the bright side you got to stay warm and dry. Your photos are wonderful. Hope you are good as new soon. V
Your snowy photos are breathtaking! Hold on spring will be here soon!!
Despite of the cold weather, birds tend to not mind it.
Musical Snow Globe is my blue post this week.
Brr... I remember Maryland! I grew up there.
No mailbox? Aw...
I'm happy to learn that you're getting better and you'll soon be back at work. But, I also remember driving in that stuff!
Happy Blue Monday, Eileen.
Eileen, these are gorgeous shots! I just can't even imagine seeing something like this. And I love those sweet pictures of the jay. Sorry to hear that your mailbox gets knocked off. That could not be fun. Do they fix it for you after the do it? Seems that they should.
Happy Blue Monday to you...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Just beautiful phots!!
I've been waiting for blue jay's they used to come in droves but now not even one came. I've seen cardinals and it made me happy. Love your collage and I hope we will be done with snow storms ^_^
Blue Sky
Icy cold photos. They are indeed beautiful. Glad I don't have any snow here though.....:-)
The snow-laden trees are gorgeous but I can imagine you'd be getting cabin fever looking at them day in and day out.
Terrific shots as always, Eileen! I love the blue jay!! The snow is beautiful -- if you don't have to live in it!! And if you don't have to search for your mailbox!! Hope you get the cast off your arm soon, that your doctor visit goes well and that you have a great week! Enjoy!
Sylvia
I guess you picked a good time to be house bound! I'm sorry about your arm and how it heals quickly.
Beautiful snow photos (I know, I know, people are getting tired of hearing that).
Eileen those are beautiful pictures. I have one of your other blogs on my google reader and I'd been wondering what happened to you -- I forgot you had more than one blog -- but I was right, I see, to be wondering and worried about what happened.
Gosh -- get well soon. I'm going back to read your old posts and get caught up. Take care.
Beautifeul pictures Eileen ,thankyou for your comment on mine!
Stay warm,I am your newest follower!

Gorgeous photos, Eileen. I'll bet a cast on the arm isn't a great photographic aid, but you've done a good job. Sorry about the mailbox (but it is a little big funny) and I'm sure you'll miss your yardbirds when you're back to work.

I enjoyed looking at all your lovely photos. Hope you get the go ahead from your doctor to go back to work.
Look at all that snow. Sorry you are laid up in a cast. I really liked the photos of the sweet birds. That is a problem I never have thought of having the mailbox knocked off by snowplows.
Wonderful shots of your snowy world. I'm glad you could stay safe and warm since you were off work.
THese are beautiful shots - the blue jay fits right in with your color scheme. Sorry to hear about your arm. Do be careful out there!
Most beautiful snow photos (as usual) :) The bluejay shots are so nice too. Such pretty birds.
Hope you are feeling back to normal very soon :)
I guess too much of snow can be boring there, but not for me here in Bangalore. Love seeing such shits. Do take care.
These are gorgeous wintery scenes, Eileen. That blue jay is a beauty, we don't see too many of them here. Hope your arm is better.
Hi Eileen, Very nice photographs of the snow scenes. I love snow but we do not get a lot where I live in TN. I think that in the past 2 winters, I never got more than 7" in any storm and most are about an inch or two. Nice picture of the Blue Jay, too! Have a super Tuesday tomorrow!
Beautiful winter photos.Great captures of the bluejays too.Love all your photos.
Wonderful winter snaps. Very cool.
I do hope that the weather clears for you when you return to work. It is hard enough to deal with snow and ice when you have two good arms.
I enjoy snow but watching from California what the rest of the country has been dealing with I think I'll keep my California weather.
wonderful winter wonderland photos
Have a nice week,
Greetings, Bram

Beautiful, but brrr -- be careful out there! (It was a good time for you to be housebound wasn't it -- you'll be all well and ready to roll come Spring!) I love the saucy jays.
Thank you for your kind comment
