Beautiful picture! The loons remind me of the movie, On Golden Pond!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these images.A few more months and I can expect to see the Loons here,at least for a little while as they pass through.

Happy New Year Eileen! Great shots! Birds around here don't have much fun these days, it's very cold and too much snow. It's ice on the river and the fjord, so they have to go far out to get open water. I get weather reports from my family in Ocean City (MD) and Phila, so I know you had some snow too :)
ReplyDeleteWish you a great week ... Irene
i love the loon, such a beautiful bird. they always make me think of my aunt, she had them all over her house. haha
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little head looking out of the water !
ReplyDeleteThat looks like one of those birds that dive under water and pop back up with a fish. Cool shots. I like the header photo too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteThe loon looks such a busy bird - very attractive, too.

ReplyDeleteA lonely loon. Very nice shots of him. We don't see them down here in Florida.
ReplyDeleteA great sighting! They're hard to find in my part of the country though they do winter in the bays off the coast.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
