Linking up with Wild Bird Wednesday and Nature Notes
For this week's wild bird I am sharing the American Avocet we saw at the Merritt Island NWR in Florida! It is one of my favorite shorebirds...
The American Avocet is a shorebird seen along the Atlantic coast in the summer. Their bill is slightly curved, their wings are black and white.
The forage for food by sweeping their bills back and forth in the water.
I like the Avocet reflections in this shot above and the one below..
I hope you enjoyed my wild bird post.. Till next week's wild bird post.. I wish you happy Birding and have a wonderful week!

Hi Eileen. It is good to see your American Avocet so as to compare it with our own Avocet. They are similar but different enough to be completely different if that makes sense!

Dearest Eileen; The American Avocet is great bird. I wondered a little seeing their curved beaks :-) Your reflection photographs are WONDERFUL♡♡♡
