Saturday's Critters #68

Saturday's Critters #68

Happy Easter Everyone and Happy Passover to those who celebrate.

Happy weekend, everyone!  It's Saturday and it's time to share your critters.. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who has linked up in the past and for those who are linking in on this week's critter party. And of course I always appreciate my blogging friends stopping by just for a visit.

I am pretty sure this is Florida's Red-shouldered Hawk.

A Gopher Tortoise seen off a trail to the beach.  It is listed as under review in Florida.. Threatened by predation and habitat destruction..

The Gopher Tortoise is known to built burrows for 360 other animals like rabbits, armadillos, skunks, mice, snakes and lizards.

Another shot of the Red-shouldered hawk. I hope your enjoyed my critter post.. Thanks so much for visiting and as always for the nice comments..Wishing everyone a happy Easter Weekend and Happy Passover to those who celebrate.

Thanks to Tex Theresa aka Tex, I was able to add this link up button and thanks to  Jennifer for creating my photo badge.

  12. Hi Eileen
How neat to see that Gopher Tortoise.
It's a shame that they wait until something is in trouble before doing something.

  15. Hi Eileen, I always love seeing hawks and your Red-shouldered beauty is awesome. Wonderful images of the gopher tortoise. Does it actually dig burrows for those other animals? Amazing post. Happy Easter to you and your precious family. Jo

  17. Hello Eileen

    At last I've made it!
What amazing photos of the Red Shouldered Hawk - it is a stunning bird and this looks like a young one.

For some reason I always feel sad when I see photos or watch wild life documentaries on the Tortoise - it is so vulnerable. Some live to a great age.
You are so lucky to see one in it's natural habitat, I've only seen them at the zoo.

Thank you for hosting Eileen and Happy Easter to you and yours too!
