Saturday's Critters #91
Happy Saturday, it's time to share your critters and post. Any kind of critter will do, even a new or old post.. I appreciate everyone who is linking in with this week's critter party.
I am sharing some critters I have seen around my yard like the bunny, Mourning Dove, Great Spangled Fritillary butterfly and one of my Ruby-throated Hummingbirds.
One day I noticed this Red-eyed Vireo perched in one of our backyard trees.
A cute baby bunny is checking me out.
Spread your wings and fly. Or just laze around and cool off on a hot day.. one of my many Mourning Doves.
Cardinal cooling off on a hot day.
Two Great Spangled Fritillary butterflies. It is the most common butterfly seen in my yard this summer.
Ruby-throated Hummingbird.....Close your eyes and take a nap!
Since a lot of my photos are taken thru my dining room window they look a little fuzzy to me, maybe I should open the window and hang out. Above is a juvenile Scarlet Tanager. I have been seeing a few of these juveniles hanging around the berries in my yard.
I hope you enjoyed my collection of birds and critters. Thank you for stopping by and for the nice comments. As always thank you to everyone who is linking up to my Saturday's Critter party. Have a great weekend!
To see more beautiful birds also visit: I'd-Rather-B-Birdin. Thanks to the gracious host: Anni.

The Vireo is a super image...they're elusive around here, difficult to get a photo as good as yours.
ReplyDeleteThanks again Eillen for hosting this great linkup!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are just wonderful, especially the bunny - I can even see the veins in its ears and I love the shot of the cardinal taking a dip!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Good morning Eileen. Thank you for allowing everyone to share heir pictures across the world today. I'm especially taken by your pictures of the Morning Dove and the Cardinal dealing with the sunny weather in their own special way. The Great Spangled Fritillary is a lovely butterfly and you captured its beauty very well.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Your birds are all so cute, ruffly hummer, bathing Cardinal, and I love mourning doves, so sweet, always cooing. I see a fair amount of rabbits in my yard, they usually freeze like I won't see them.
ReplyDeleteAnother wonderful collection!

ReplyDeleteHow great yo have so many critters so close to home!
ReplyDeleteI also take photographs of my garden birds through a window but it cannot be opened. I always love seeing what birds turn up in your garden adn these are all lovely. I also now have a couple of bird baths and at leas the birds have decided to use them so the Cardinel shots is lovely. I have not put any of my garden birs on for ages, too busy playing catch up with ALL my photographs (that is NEVER going to happen!) but I must rectify that one of these days. That butterfly is really special and so beautiful. Many thanks for hosting and have a lovely weeknd Eileen.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful collection of critters, Eileen. You're blessed to have bunnies (and a baby, to boot) and the beautiful butterflies in your yard. What is the long-thin-billed bird? (it's wet in your photo) I love your images and think they're very clear. You take really good photos, Eileen and I love seeing your wildlife and birds. Thanks for hosting this meme. Have a great day. Jo
ReplyDeleteOh no, I made a mistake: the long-billed bird isn't wet; it has its eyes closed! Sorry:(
ReplyDeletethe cardinal bathing made me smile, the sun coming through the bunnies ears is awesome. so beautiful
ReplyDeletesweet birds, butterflies and bunny, too. :) thanks for hosting, eileen!

ReplyDeleteBirds, Bunnies and Butterflies...a great combination of photos today, Eileen, as always!
ReplyDeleteWonderful collection, Eileen! I take a lot of pictures through my windows too, good excuse to keep them clean, lol! Have a wonder-filled weekend!
ReplyDeleteI just can't imagine living in a place that has so many choice birds right outside my window. I have to go over to the state park to see anything unusual and even then it seems to be slim pickins. Love your series and your pictures aren't fuzzy ... your window is clean, Ha! Good for you, I speak from experience having taken pictures through a dirty window :)

Nice collection of animal shots. I especially like the action shot of the cardinal in the birdbath.
ReplyDeleteI found your photos even better than ever . . .
ReplyDeleteLove the Mourning Dove . . . I find their feather coloring so soft and beautiful . . .
Good morning and happy Saturday to you too Eileen. What a sweet bunny, and your cardinal mama is just having a happy spa day, but your butterflies are gorgeous and I wonder if we don't have them here too. Thanks for giving their name so I can check it out. They look very much like one I've seen this summer too, but yours have an incredible almost heart like shape on them. Very nice. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteSplish, splash, a cardinal bath. Nice!
ReplyDeleteThat last shot is just stunning!

ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely variety of animals. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour photos look fine to me Eileen although I find too there is a bit of glare from the window when I do the same. There were lots of bunnies here in the spring but not too many around lately, maybe we finally have a predator in the neighbourhood!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday.
Your birds are striking interesting poses! Fine work.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of birds when I try to take pictures of birds I end up with lots of empty spaces.

Your photos are always great and you have wonderful critters in your own backyard! Thanks for hosting ... Sorry I'm so late saying so. A very busy day today away from imputed.

ReplyDeleteYou may think your shots are fuzzy, but I think they are magnificent, Eileen. Your "common" butterflies are beautiful. Love the light in the bunny's ears. I admired the Red-eyed Vireo and marvelled at the sharply-focused Mourning Dove. The Cardinal is brilliant too. Thanks so much for hosting! i hope you are in the middle of a great Tuesday!
