Swan Harbor Farm in Havre De Grace Maryland is one of my favorite spots for birding. It is part of Maryland's Open Space Program. It is also a hot venue for weddings and receptions.
Above top row: Swamp Sparrow, Yellow Warbler, Common Yellow-throat. Second row: Tree Swallows and Orchard Oriole. Third row: Bobolink, Solitary Sandpiper, Greater Yellowlegs. Bottom row: Blue-winged teal, Yellowlegs, Great Egret, Canada Goose, Wood Duck & ducklings.
The Swamp Sparrow seen with it pretty rusty cap. The nest in fresh water marshes and bogs.
During this visit, we were in the bird blind and we also walked around the pond and marshland.
Canada Goose, Great Egret and can you find the female Wood Duck and duckling?
Walking around the pond, I heard this Bobolink before I actual saw it. It has a pretty song.
Barn at the Swan Harbor Farms

I love your collage and the barns Eileen. I hope you have a great week,
Eileen, you found some neat barns for this week. The last one will disappear as the foliage matures. I appreciate that you are sharing this week and stop back when you can.
Now I wonder what would happen on the pond if a Common Yellow Throat met and fell in love with Greater Yellowlegs?! As always gorgeous photos
With love from your pink throat, fat legged Wren x
Lovely photos not a bad life checking out the birds in your wildlife parks they are very different to our locals.

Hello Eileen,
I'm visiting from the Barn Collective but I enjoy seeing all your other photos, too. The bird collage is fun and the individual bird shots are fabulous. Hope you have a lovely week!
Beautiful photos, Eileen, and I do see the wood ducks in the background of your photo of the egret and Canada goose!
You are such a good friend Eileen
You got some amazing pictures Eileen! I visited Havre De Grace last summer with my sister and my niece. It is a beautiful place. My sister used to work at the hospital there before she and her family moved to Texas.
I did find the female wood duck and duckling. So sweet!
Love the goose and egret...and the ducks!
Great settings and a large assortment of birds.
I like that cute little brown head/hat sparrow . . .
Happy week Eileen . . .
Wow! That's an amazing variety of birds to see in one place! The marshes are beautiful.
Another enjoyable post, and I even learned something -- I've never seen a Swamp Sparrow - What a cutie it isand it has been a long time since I heard a Bobolink. And I'm a sucker for barn photos too!
I hope you've had a good weekend - Can you believe that the rain is still in the forecast this week?
So many beautiful birds and things to see here. My favorite shot is the one in the collage -middle of 2nd row, but also love the silo in the last shot. Many thanks Eileen for being a part of SEASONS! Hope you have a great week and hope to see you back next Sunday for Seasons:)

What a lovely place to spend some time. Great photos, that Bobolink is terrific!
I love the name bobolink for a bird...he is a talented singer!
I also love seeing/photographing old barns and farms --they seems to be sadly disappearing quickly here with new housing developments.
The swamp sparrow is so adorable. Hah! Finally got to see what a bobolink is. In my town where the streets are named after birds, there is near my street one named Bobolink.
Worth a Thousand Words
That is a beautiful place !
What a wonderful spot for birding. Beautiful. I love the bobolink, because I've never really seen one. All of your pictures are wonderful.
Interesting post. I don’t recall hearing the term “bird blind” before although I have probably been in many during my walks without know it.
Gorgeous nature shots as always and lovely presentation~
Happy Week to you ~ ^_^
Eileen, Have I told you that we had a condo in Havre de Grace for awhile in the 90's? It's was such a sleepy little town then. I sure don't remember Swan Harbor Farms. Your photos from that walk are wonderful.
Hello Eileen, what a paradise for birders! So many to spot, some easier than others! I have never heard of a bobolink before, so thanks for sharing!

You have a lot of different birds around you ! I only see sparrows, magpies and crows here !
Nice barns and so many birds to see, Eileen! The Bobolink is so cute. I don't think I've ever seen one.
What a great collection of birds - I can see why you would visit a place like this often.
Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne

There is something neat about barns...lovely area Eileen...Michelle
What a pretty place Swan Harbor is, Eileen. The farm buildings are lovely, and such a variety of birds for you to enjoy.
It's a lovely area Eileen, so many pretty birds and love the rural scenes. Thanks for sharing and enjoy the rest of your week :)
Adoro pássaros belas as imagens;
Gostei muito do galpão...
Abraços.
I wish we had something like this. Your places are so "watcher friendly". In Sweden we are always a very long distance from birds and wildelife and nature. Without binoculars you can´t see anything :(
Love your image of the Bobolink.
I love that Swamp Sparrow Eileen. Lovely rusty looking head. It's a new one to me, so thanks for sharing.
Hello,
I'm back.
This is a beautiful place, you've seen so many beautiful birds!!!
And you're pictures are gorgeous!
Have a nice day
I wonder how many different bird sorts can be spotted there?
You are an expert at bird photography! I enjoy seeing your captures.
Beautiful shots. I love that little Swamp Sparrow.

I particularly like that Bobolink, Eileen! Thank you for your kind comment.
Hi Eileen, I think you are one of the best at the bird photos. Always so interesting! I do like the old barns in this post as well. Very nice post and thank you for sharing. Hope you are having a fine week!
Beautiful birds and beautiful photos of them. I'm a bit envious of both!
Wonderful shots! Great swamp sparrow!
You have captured some wonderful birds and views especially the bobolink.
Great shots! I wonder if the Bobolink is related to Grosbeaks... same type of beak. I haven't been out lately, due to the terrible weather or the fact that I pulled a neck muscle and could barely move! Hopefully it is better now... at least I think it is, as I stopped taking the meds today! Thanks for sharing!
