Hello,
Not much happening around here lately so I have a few more photos to share from our visit to Bombay Hook NWR and some from our ride home.
An Osprey flying by holding a fish.
Below are my not so good attempts at fence photos, a GB Heron behind a fence and some egrets with a juvenile BC Night Heron all standing on a fence.
More egrets on the fence, also hard to see but the dark looking bird on the fence is a juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron. A few more Egrets perched in a distant tree.
A pretty summer day and sky at the wildlife refuge.
This may look like a repeat but I took a lot of photos of the Egrets seen along the wildlife drive at Bombay Hook NWR.
On the way home we decided to stop for an ice cream at the Brooms Bloom Dairy. They had a sunflower field you could walk through, if you do not mind the bees. I like the flowers and clouds in the shot below.
Enter at your own risk, there were bees all around the flowers.
The farm, barns and silos at the Brooms Bloom Dairy
While eating our ice cream, I took this blurry shot of the silos.
Below a drive by shot on the way home, a barn and fence scene.
As always I hope you enjoyed your visit and my post. I appreciate your nice comments. Enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!
Here is a list of linky parties for part of the week, I hope to see you there.
Thanks to Theresa @ The Run*A*Round Ranch for hosting Good Fences.
Thank you to Sylvia, Yogi and Sandy for hosting Skywatch Friday.

lovely series of photos. It's tricky trying to photograph birds from the other side of wire fencing....
Hello,
I love your photos of The Egrets! Wonderful photos of the Sunflowers. It must be a sight to see so many at one time :)
Happy Thursday!
those sunflower shots are beautiful! egrets on the fence... such a lovely sunny day!
Nothing prettier than a field of sunflowers on a beautiful day! Nice!
I laughed at that shot of the GB heron behind the chain link--reminded me of a prison scene (and no, I've not been-LOL!)
Fotografias de uma grande beleza.
Um abraço e continuação de uma boa semana.

My but there are so many egrets there, fabulous shots, Eileen! The sky is a beautiful shade of blue especially against the sunflowers! Love the barns too!

Hello Eileen!:) It's a pleasure to see so many Egrets, the gorgeous rows of sunflowers, and the barn with the fencing. Lovely shots!:)
Just yesterday I got in change from the store, a Bombay Hook Quarter and thought of your day trip and photo shares...you've come back with more beautiful scenes!!!

Greetings from India.
Hi Eileen, I love the flock of birds perched on a fence; great take on Good Fences, (lol!) It all looks so clean and neat there; the silos, barns and fields. It would be a pleasure to walk through the sunflower fields if you aren't allergic to bees. (I'm not, so I'd enjoy it!) Have a great day. Jo
I truly like the field of sunflowers but would not be walking it. since I have 60 zoom I would be standing way back taking photos. the sky is gorgeous. we see osprey with fish a lot here, there are 3 nest in bray park, they are only half a block from the photos I posted today.
nice PBWA
photography by walking around :)

It is a lovely area Eileen. I like the shot of the silo through the window, neat to see that large flock of egrets and love the first photo of the sunflowers with that pretty blue sky. All the photos were great. Happy day to you :)

I really like the link fence shot! ... and oh, those sunflowers... YAM xx
I enjoyed your pics . . .
And the Sunflower fields . . .
I would have been leery to enter the bee sanctuary . . .
And would have joined you for ice cream . . .
Our extremely hot summer has made ice cream a much too frequent treat . . .
I need a cooler fall with more walking!
I love Sunflowers!
Hope you are having a great week!
Beautiful shots! The sunflower field is amazing and are one of may favorite things to see!

Hi Eileen! I just love your first shot of the sunflowers. I grew a lot in my gardens this year, but they are done now. And pretty soon, it will be time to pull them off. Enjoy the rest of your week!
Hoe beautiful your photos are.

Love the sunflower field! If I'm trying to take a photo through the fence, I'll put my camera lens as close as I can to an opening and shoot through the hole.
It's always a pleasure to come here and see your lovely photos Eileen!
Amazing shots. Loved the sunflower;)
I love the field of sunflowers and the dairy farm. Thanks for sharing these.
Wonderful shot of the sunflowers! You got down for that one, Eileen!
The Egrets are such graceful looking birds. I can't imagine seeing that many at once. - The sunflowers are so cheery. I loved the warning sign. - A very pretty barn/fence scene to end your post.

The sunflowers are wonderful, Eileen!
The field of sunflowers is gorgeous! I would not be able to enter though. Bees always love me...and come after me! haha! Love the osprey too. I saw one in the sky today when I was out and about. They are so beautiful! Hugs, Diane

If I had to pick my favorite of all these images posted I would say the sunflowers. Those flowers are so happy looking. The sign posted saying watch out for bees is different...never seen that before. Have a great week-end.

Eileen, I love these wide open spaces and sunflowers! How long have you been a photographer?
Bombay Hook looks like a beautiful place Eileen. So nice to see all the egrets and herons. I love watching ospreys too. We often see them when we go camping.
Wendy
Beautiful photographs. I loved your sunflower fields. I remember as a child where we lived was a sunflower field and our mother warned my brother and I to stay away so of course we had to go walk through it. It was covered in bees all buzzing away and we would walk slowly through it and they ignored us. What a feeling.
Fabulous sky reflections and glorious sunflowers!
since skies all over. :) Love bees unless it is the bad ones.
Love the barn and the sunflower field. It is beautiful. therein nothing prettier that a huge feels filled too the brim with blooming sunflowers. It is heaven on earth in my book. genie
Dearest Eileen; Great collection of photographs, of course I was fascinated by the herons and such many egrets♡♡♡ Gorgeous sky with sunflowers and barn, I wish I could see these barns and unique silo♫♫♫
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend in America, xoxo Miyako*
Wow--that is a LOT of Egrets!! Must be a great place for them!! I have yet to see a Black-crowned Heron... maybe soon? What a great fun place to walk through... tho if they have to warn about the bees, there must be some truth to that! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
