Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
If you love critters like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
These are some images of the Yellow-crowned Night Heron rookery In Baltimore. After our zoo visit we stopped by for a quick visit to see the herons and nest. We could see three heron's nest just from one spot from the bridge above.
The chicks are what I call an ugly cute. Fuzzy looking feathers and big beaks.
I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments! I hope you enjoy my post and photos too!
Here is a list of my linky parties;
Also visit: I'd-Rather-B-Birdin. Thanks to the gracious host: Anni.
Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

Hello Eileen!:) The chicks made me smile with their cute mop hair do!:) I see that one of the parents is taking advantage of the chicks being asleep to have a cat nap also. Lovely captures Eileen, and thank you so much for hosting.:)
ReplyDeletethose ugly/cute chicks are so adorable.. sure can't tell what they will look like without the parents to show us

Oh, such cute little fluff balls! Hope you have a great weekend, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteI love the name ugly cute.
ReplyDelete:-)
Amazing shot of the cute chicks!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, ugly cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the heron nests from a higher vantage point. Those in our local south Florida rookery nest at about eye level or slightly above, so it is difficult to see the nest contents.
ReplyDeleteLovely capture on the heron’s nest and they are a beauty transformation of difference!
ReplyDeleteI love that: Cute Ugly. A face only a mother could love. If you remember (but probably don't) we had a rare green heron visit our water garden last summer, helping himself the gold fish. Thankfully he did not return. I always enjoy your photos. A trip the the Texas hill country is worth the trip to just to listen and to see the beautiful song birds. The painted buntings were much easier to photograph because they weren't as easily spooked as the cardinals, for example.
ReplyDeleteUgly cute is right. These are wonderful shots, Eileen. Thank you for the opportunity to link up
ReplyDeleteLook at those fuzzy chicks! ahhhh....hubby and I both love them! Happy Saturday my friend! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteGreat series of pictures of Yellow-crowned Night Heron, especially the chicks. This is a species that very seldom shows up here in Ontario, although with atmospheric warming who knows what the future holds?
ReplyDeleteA true family moment. Great capture.
