Hello and happy Thursday!
On this day hubby and I enjoyed our walk on a paved trail at the Leister Park in Hampstead Maryland.
Along the path were wildflowers, some people would call them weeds. I was enjoying the Goldfinches eating the seeds off some dead flowers.
Call you find the two Goldfinches mixed in with the Chicory and Queen Anne's Lace?
A female Eastern Bluebird was chasing bugs on the trail.
A Chipping Sparrow with a mouthful of some kind of bug.
This Queen Anne's Lace reminds me of a snowflake.
The sky and Queen Anne's Lace.
More sky and the paved trail. After a rain this paved trail is nice for walking, there is no mud!
On the way home a barn scene for Tom's Barn Collective.
Just a drive away from home I can usually find some kind of barn.
The Waxing Gibbous moon on August 5th. Full moon was seen on Aug 8th.
My thankful list for today:
I am thankful for the pretty sky days.
I am thankful to take a walk after a rain storm.
I am thankful for your visits and your comments.
"Find beauty in the small things."
Thank you Michelle for hosting. Thankful Thursday

Great work, Eileen, simply enjoying all of nature. Wildflowers are wonderful and the role they play for birds and pollinator insects is inestimable. I hope that none of these vicious hurricanes make it up the coast to Maryland. Stay safe.
Hello Eileen. A wonderful walk. I loved the little Eastern Bluebird strutting across the path! The Goldfinches are gorgeous in amongst the wild flowers.
Have a great day :)
Hello,
Wildflowers are also beautiful! Chipping Sparrow was a cute little bird.
Happy Thursday!
I like watching the birds gobble up all the seeds and they are so good at it!!! Barns have always been a favorite of mine...especially the old ones!...:)JP

Wonderful bird photos, Eileen! I think the one of Queen Anne's Lace and the blue sky is a masterpiece. I love Queen Anne's Lace, too.
Hello Eileen! I love that photo of the two finches almost camoflaged in the chicory and Queen Ann's lace!
It was a beautiful day for your walk and the skies were lovely!
Best wishes!
Happy Thursday!! Your beautiful posts always make me happy!! Yes, I love seeing the birds eating seeds from wildflowers too.
I enjoyed our walk today! Since I won't be taking one myself... Love to see the Goldfinches in the fading flowers and plants. Next time I go out, I shall look for them. Trying to find warblers this past weekend was not fruitful at all, tho people all around the area DID! Sad face... Maybe tomorrow! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!
From Goldfinch to moon, these are delightful photos Eileen. Thank you and happy day to you :)
Ohhhhhhhh, Eileen, this is such an uplifting, beautiful post! Not only the birds seen, but the entire surroundings. I LOVED it all.
Thank you so much for bringing the bright side of life for us to enjoy.
All your photos are just great. What a nice trail to walk along and yes, I did spot the two goldfinches though they were hidden pretty good in there.
the goldfinches are so bright and beautiful right now - but that is not what helped me to find them in picture #2 but i did find them! we birders have a keen eye!!
the queen anne's lace is beautiful, all of my birds seem busier than usual right now. nice capture at feeding time!!!
A very pretty place! I love goldfinches.
It's always fun to watch birds eating seeds or bugs. I always enjoy watching the goldfinches. Cute blue bird on the path. I have a pair at the back of our property but they don't come close to the house. Thankful Thursday gives us time to reflect.

Oh those blue skies... something of a forgotten phenomena round here of late... Thinking of all my pals over in the West - even if not close to the storms. YAM xx
Such pretty skies and lovely countryside.
Love the flowers and birds! Oh, how I wish we could get some of that rain. It seems like our entire state is burning up...
Lovely path. I love that my photo-taking has led me to a higher appreciation for those little things. I walk around seeing the world in tiny little rectangles. :)
lovely place and birds!
Wonderful photos! I love the goldfinches an the Queen Ann's Lace. Such wonderful countryside and barns too.
I love our shots and your whole sensibility, E

What a beautiful day you had, Eileen! I love to see a goldfinch!
The little yellow bird is beautiful..
Excellent post. I too love watching the Goldfinch. Last night was the full Harvest Moon. Red here because of all the smoke from wildfires

Happy Thursday, Eileen! You got a fabulous picture of the Queen Anne's Lace in the field. I see it from time to time around here, and think it's a very pretty delicate wildflower. Now we know how these wildflowers get propagated! The sweet little Goldfinches spread the beauty around while they eat. Have a wonderful weekend!
Your last photo makes me think I could touch the moon. It feels so close and mysterious.
Beautiful scenes! I hope you are having a wonderful week!
Beautiful photos! Love the "sky & Queen Anne's Lace" shot.

Amen to you daily thoughts. You shared some awesome sights of nature at its best.
The bluebird looks a little jealous that the sparrow has a nice, juicy caterpiller.
I think Goldfinches are such pretty birds. That sparrow gave me a chuckle. He almost looks mad! Thanks for linking up today and have a great weekend!
What beautiful pictures! Thank you so much for these delights.
So beautiful post. Lovely bird pics. Amazing place. Greetings.
such beautiful pictures and what a pretty place to walk! are those purple flowers chickory?
Lovely pics once again Eileen. The bluebird looks like he's crossing the road and looking out for traffic ;-)
Great shots.
You captured the moon wonderfully.

Good morning Eileen, beautiful captures and what a lovely place to wander about. Queen Anne Lace has always been a favorite of mine, but now we too have that very serious weed here that is much like the Queen Anne Lace, but it's one to avoid at all cost!
Those Goldfinches are pretty little fellows, aren't they? What a sweet picture this is, Eileen. Yes, the Queen Anne's Lace does look like a snowflake! What a nice walk with your husband. So many interesting things we can see in nature, if only we are still and notice.

Such beautiful shots!
Have a wonderful weekend.
nice skies and birds too. Love your goldfinches.
I did see the two goldfinches, without even expanding the view. That sure looks like a nice place to walk.
...the farm at the end of the drive with the blue sky and puffy clouds is wonderful. Thanks Eileen for stopping by, I hope that you will stop back again.
The sky and Queen Ann's Lace is awesome. Had to stop and admire for a while. Nice barn, too!
