Our World

Happy Monday!

Our world or my world, George's Creek is one of our local walks and a nearby creek that leads into our lake.  We have many choices for our walks, many on the local fire roads. Some official trails that I believe are maintained by the local Sierra Club, George's Creek is a maintained trail along the creek and leads to the lake.

These are images from our walk on the trail. We saw lots of daylilies, Turkey Vultures flying high in the sky and a group of Wood Ducks and some fish in the creek.

A female wood duck, they was a family but they went into hiding.

Daylilies along the creek's edge.

I am not sure what kind of fish this is, it was kind of big.

A view of the creek looking a little muddy from recent rain.  We saw a Great Blue Heron but it was too shy to pose for a photo.

Sunlight on George's Creek.

Turkey Vultures a common sighting around our neighborhood and the lake.

Thanks for your visit today!  I hope you enjoyed my post and photos.

Thanks to the hosting team of Our World Tuesday!
I hope to see you there. Thanks to the host today. Enjoy your day and new week.

As always I thank you for stopping by and as always I appreciate your comments.

An interesting and rewarding walk I am sure. And to think there are people who think the mall is the best place to visit!

Hello Eileen,

Beautiful walking area! I love the daylilies. It looks like one I have in my garden, and that's the orginal daylily who not have been crossed with others. Today there are very many new daylilies.

Happy Monday!

What a great place for a walk. Great blue herons seem to be shy by their nature. I see them everywhere I go around the USA.

Pretty coloring in the Wood Duck . . .
I always favor those muted, soft tones . . .

Starting to see the summer wind down around here . . .
i think the flowers are saying . . .
What’s with all this HOT!
Cooler nights has been a treat . . .
How about East . . . still steamy . . .
