Hello and happy Thursday!
Hubby and I enjoy our fire road walks checking out all the different mushrooms along the way. I am not sure of all the mushroom id's, I just enjoy seeing their colors and shapes. I also included a view of our lake, it was a little cloudy that day. We were dog sitting for my son's dogs. It is nice having the grand-dogs for a visit and they love to go on walks with us.
"All good things are wild and free." A cloudy day at the lake.
We are lucky to have these fire roads just a walk away from our house, it is like we have a park and the lake at our doorstep.
"If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere."
I am guessing this is a Eastern Wood Pewee, I heard the song before I saw the bird. I like the bokeh showing up in the tree canopy.
I am thankful for all my nature sightings. All nature is grand.
I am thankful for all your visits and comments.
Thank you Michelle for hosting Thankful Thursday.
Thank you to the hosts of Skywatch Friday
Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week!
Thanks so much for visiting and for your nice comments on my previous post. Have a happy day!

Mushrooms are not easy to identify, but I have a friend who taught mycology at a local university, and he helps me to pick edible ones. Some of them are truly delicious. If ever you get a chance to try wild honey mushrooms you will have a real treat.
Lovely reflection capture.
Lindas fotos e caça aos cogumelos bem registradas aqui! Belas fotos! Ótimo dia! beijos, chica
So many different colors of mushrooms! Perfect place to walk and enjoy nature.
I'm happy that you have the fire walk so close by. Your photos inspire me to head to the State Park that near us. Happy Day.
I agree 100 percent that all good things are free... I am thankful for the fact I know this and can see it with my eyes.
I am always a little suspicious about statements like “All nature is grand.” If a python wraps itself around your two year old and swallows her, is that grand? There is an organism in Africa that gets into the bodies of little children and works its way up to their eyes and causes blindness. Is that grand? I could go on, but you get the point. Is all nature grand?
We've been so dry. I haven't even thought of looking for fungus and mushrooms!!! I am happy to enjoy yours.;
With our little rain showers, we've got mushrooms popping up here and there. It's rare to see one with red though. Enjoy your day!
Mother gives us so many different gifts to enjoy this world.
...beautiful popping out of the earth.
There needs to be a teeny tiny gnome under that red toadstool! LOL
Mushrooms and fungi are things I'd like to know more about. walk in the bush and they grow all over the place.
Looks so peaceful! Lovely photos!

The lake looks like a good spot to spend time at.

Such pretty mushrooms but I have no idea which are edible so would be content with a pic like you are, Eileen!
I have learned a lot through my fellow bloggers, including you. To appreciate the little things as much as the grand vistas, and to appreciate the dried up flowers as just another phase from the full lush freshness for example.
Have a great week!!
A beautiful walk where you can see nature at its best. Lovely shot of the bird and mushrooms. Have a wonderful day!
Such lovely photographs Eileen, love the ones of the lake with the reflection.
Aren't mushrooms wonderful, all shapes, sizes and colour.
Enjoy the remainder of the week … the days fly by so quickly.
All the best Jan

These are all so nice. Mushrooms are always a fun subject.
Interesting looking mushrooms. The red one in the moss looks like it is in a magical forest.

Grands are a joy!
Such a sweet blessing to have good places to walk. Lovely photos.
Those mushrooms are really cool. Grandpuppies are the best!
Those Indian Pipe fungus are so pretty.....we have a batch of pink ones in the gully down the road that catch the morning sunlight when they make their appearance in the Fall. Ours crop up around September 1st in these parts. Enjoy your weekend.
Amazing pics

Hello Eileen,
Beautiful photos! You are lucky who have so many paths to walk on.
The nature is fantastic.
Happy Weekend!
How luck to have such a beautiful place to walk so close to home. The mushrooms are pretty too.
I see the Indian Pipe up there I would love to see one of those! Speaking of dogs, my dogs are great mushroom'ers they've been enjoying seeking out their favorites and they greedily eat them!
Certainly do have a bunch of different mushrooms . . . .
Wonderful place to walk . . .
You have me intrigued wondering just how many of these mushrooms I can discover!
A perfect walk -- beauty at your feet and above your head. And the grand-dogs!!
