Welcome to Saturday's Critters !
If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!
As of Oct 25th I was still seeing the Screech Owl in my front yard. A few times it was seen outside my window that I call my Treadmill window. I have posted often about the birds I have seen out my "treadmill" window. It is actually our den window facing the front yard.
Oct 17th, during the evening I heard a bang, the poor owl must have flown into the window. Or he was chased into the window. Not the best photo below, but you can see the owl's wings looked a little ragged. But, it was Ok and left a little later.
Another evening I heard the owl calling before I saw it again out the same window. It likes sitting in our rhododendron bush which is right next to the window and house. Sorry, these owl photos were taking from my hallway looking toward the window so I would not spook the owl.
The weekend of Oct 26th we were dog watching for my son, he went on trip to Salem Ma for a long weekend. We enjoy the company of our grand-dogs, Nibbles and Chewy.
Chewy is on the left and Nibbles is on the right.
Oct 25th the Painted Lady butterfly on the butterfly bush.
Oct 23rd, the chipmunk filling his cheeks.
Oct 28th the Screech Owl was back looking into my window. I had to lighten this photo, it was getting dark out and I did not use a flash.
Oct 31st, the Screech Owl is again sitting in the rhododendron in the evening. This photo was taken using ISO 3200 and I still had to lighten in my photo program.
I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments !
Here is a list of my linky parties;

I am sure Nibbles and Chewy love having you as company. That is one cute squirrel with its mouth stuffed full with nuts. Nice shots of the owl. Have a beautiful and blessed weekend!
it is fabulous that the Owl keeps coming back t sit on that bush. I love the 2 dogs and I am sure you have fun walks with them. THANKS FOR HOSTING. Have a wonderful weekend.
All are cute... the owl and the plump cheeks of the chipmunk.
Have a nice weekend with your doggy guests!
Hello Eileen! It is so great that you have owl in your yard! The dogs are cute. Have a happy weekend!
Good that the owl did not hurt himself. Handsome bird! The chipmunk is wonderful:)
Wonderful post! I'm glad the owl is ok. He does look a bit ragged after his run in with the window. The squirrel looks very healthy and well fed and I like the look on it's face. The grand-dogs are so handsome. I especially like Nibbles' profile. Have an awesome weekend Eileen. xx
Hello Eileen!
Such gorgeous pictures with your new visitor, the cute owl!
Nibbles and Chewy are both adorable! You must have a great time having them with you!
Like your butterfly and chipmunk photos! Great captures!
Thank you for sharing! Have a lovely weekend and a happy November!
Dimi...
How sweet to have an owl in your garden.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for hosting Eileen.
Gostei do esquilo e a coruja também conseguiste fotografar bem! Lindo! beijos, ótimo fim de semana, chica
Oh I am sorry for the owl. A few months ago I walked full-tilt into sliding doors of a restaurant. I saw stars for a few minutes! I can imagine what that little lad felt like and hope he'll be OK. Thanks for hosting this meme. HAve a great Saturday. Jo
The owl was a great visitor to have at Halloween time! Wonderful photos.
Oh lucky you with the backyard screech-owl! This year I heard one only about 4 doors away but it seems not to wander my way. Love that cheeky chipmunk!
I feel joy each time I see your owl. I love to hear them and see them, we have only seen ours twice. yours is right outside your window..the chipmunk made me laugh with those fat cheeks. I do love critters, all critters.
Love the fat cheeks of the chipmunk! I’m so glad the owl wasn’t injured! Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
...the painted lady is a favorite of mine!
Your friend Mr Owl likes your place so much that it wants to enter your house.
But through a wrong way.
Poor him.
Lovely shots of the owl and the dogs, Eileen. It's wonderful to have wildlife friendly garden and receive such lovely visits.
PS: Thanks for hosting, Eileen!
I appreciate that you respect the owl, rather than going for photo-ops!
It is fascinating watching them on our properties, isn't it?!
Thanks for hosting so dependably.
Have a great weekend!
P.S. I'd be interested in seeing your window, and treadmill from inside out out, to get a better undestanding of your scene!
Great critter shots, Eileen! From butterflies to dogs! Such great variety!
What a wonderful thing to have the Screech Owl so close. Once you locate them they do seem to occupy the same perch, so are often easy to refind. But to have one so close is a treat to be sure.
Ha, ha Eileen. Love those descriptive names, Nibbles and Chewy. Looks like your owl knew it was Halloween and called for a treat.
Thanks for the link-up as always. Have lovely weekend.
Love the owl series, Eileen. Have a fun weekend!
oh eileen, the owl pictures are beautiful, what a wonderful experience. you are photographing it the correct way as to not spook it and chase it away!! this reminds me of my encounter with the oriole, i was very careful to respect it but in the end, we became friends!!
the chipmunk is a hoot and a half, you captured a great shot of it!!
and how nice to see a painted lady, so late into the season!!
I like the pics Eileen . . .
The Screach Owl has found “his place!”
I found a children’s book the other day, tucked away in some of my fall, Halloween things.
It is a wonderful book . . , A book I had purchased for my first grandchild several years ago.
I enjoyed the read, you might too, Owl Moon . . .
Grand dogs look like fun visitors.
Great photo of the chippie with hi#cfull cheeks!
I hope a screeching owl won’t frighten the butterflies away!
what a happy nature day. Lucky to have your owl so near. Or does it screech a lot! And your dogs look really sweet!

I wonder if the owl is seeing a 'partner' reflection?! What a treat to see. YAM xx
It must be fantastic to have such a wonderful visitor, the owl, to hang out near your window. Glad it recovered from flying in to it. Great critter shots, thanks for hosting and have a wnderful weekend.
Interesting owl visit. He may be seeing his shadow in the glass.
You have a pet...and a very cute one! I know you look forward to seeing him and he likes you too! We see a hawk outside pretty often but you know my dream is to see an owl! Enjoy your weekend!
Eileen, a backyard owl. Fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Eileen-
Quite an Owl you have photographed - amazing creatures!
Thanks for hosting.
Happy WE!
The owl appears to be comfortable around your place, as long as he doesn't knock into any windows again.
Oh! I hope he didn't hit the window. :( You could put stickers on it so they know it's there.
Had an owl serenading me last week. great set of pics!!!
There must be something of interest reflecting in the window. What a thrill for you to see him often. Happy Day
Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos.
Have a lovely weekend
Warm hugs

Beautiful 'critters' Eileen, have a great weekend.
Nice to read your post, Lovely pic of Owl.
Thanks for sharing beautiful pics.
Happy weekend.
Hello Eileen,
It must be so fun to watch the owl from inside your window.
Beautiful dogs!
Happy Saturday, and enjoy your weekend!
Love the names of your grand-furbabies! That chipmunk photo is spool darling! And the owl...I am so jealous.
Thanks for your kind words this week! So VERY much appreciated...
Your owl is like a wee Peeping Tom, Eileen!
Lovely to see a owl, rare here and the chipmunks we don't have them at all cute little fellow with his fat cheeks.
Merle................l
Very nice !
NICE closeup of the chipmunk.
Quite a lot of them around here.
Love the owl and what fun names for the doggies!
Cool that he is hanging around! I had one in the big tree in my front yard and all the yard birds went crazy and let me know he was there...about dusk you could hear his little trill sound, I always love to hear them. Cute dog babies!
I'm so glad the owl is ok! That chipmunk is adorable...and I hope it never meets the owl!
So cool to have an owl visit your yard. Love the chubby chipmunk.
The owl is coming back again and again, I think he(or she) understood that you are a true nature lover
You are such a nature lover, I love the story and photos of he screech owl.
Love that beautiful little owl! How awesome! And the dogs are so sweet.
I'd love to have a screech owl look in my window! Also, I love that chipmunk!
That's fun to have an owl looking through the window, it looks as if he might come in. The chipmunk with full cheeks is so cuto.
It was entertainment to watch chipmunks at our home in Atlanta and I remember a mama carrying her tiny baby chipmunk in her mouth.
Looks the owl likes you to see, so comes around your windows but it looks scared too. The dogs seem trouble-free to look after and as company, hope you enjoy.
Hugs to those pups (and the chipmunk too)
I loved seeing all of your photographs. I think it's brilliant that the owl obviously likes being in your yard.
Hope you've had a lovely weekend, my good wishes for the new week ahead.
All the best Jan
How great to have this little owl visit each year. I enjoyed your photos of it, as I did of the grand-dogs, chipmunk and others. Have a great week Eileen.
Oh my goodness, so happy your owl was okay. That happens here too, with birds and usually they are okay. Sometimes quite stunned! Love the pups and the big cheeks nibbling all he can.
Wonderful to have an owl visiting your own backyard -- i'm glad he wasn't hurt by his flight into the window. Your son's dogs are so cute.
I think you have a friend in that owl, Eileen! What I wouldn't give to have an owl that nearby!
Nibbles and Chewy are real cuties! It's nice of you to keep them for your son!
And that peeping-tom-owl - Wow! Having one so close, is really cool, and I'm a bit envious! The crows chased our resident barred owls away this past spring, and I really miss them.
That must have startled you when the Owl banged against your window. That chipmunk looks mischievous, doesn't he? Great photos, Eileen.
~Sheri
Great series of pictures Eileen! I have no critters to share this week. I hope you had a good weekend
Nice
Gorgeous trail! Waiting for the rain to let up, so that I can soak up the last of the fall leaves. Have a lovely week!
