Happy Easter everyone! I am sure no one expected to be on lock down at this time. I do pray everyone is safe and healthy.
I still have one last place we visited during our early March 8-10th getaway. It was the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Cambridge Maryland. It was a great place to visit with wonderful bird sightings.
March 10th, below are a few of the birds we saw, I hope you enjoy......all photos were taken out the car window.
As usual we saw a lot of eagles. There are 2 Bald Eagles on the photo below, one in the nest and one standing in front of the nest.
A juvenile Bald Eagle perched on the top of a dead tree, below him on the ground were a group of Vultures eating something.
Below a large group of Snow Geese hanging out with some Tundra Swans.
Hello....I see you..Snow Goose..
We watched the White Pelicans on the water and even more were flying in and landed .
A large group of White Pelicans could be seen from the wildlife drive. They swim together in tight circles herding fish..
It is fun to watch the Snow Geese take off sounding an alert, only to circle and land in the same spot. The Tundra Swans ignored them and stay where they were, with nothing to worry about.
If you look closely, there is a Bald Eagle standing behind this group of White Pelicans. Groups of the White Pelicans were all around.
We found another Bald Eagle nest, seen from the wildlife drive.
I stopped the car to watch this Northern Harrier working the field, it flew across the road in front of and circled around. An id tip for the Harrier (in the center of the photo) is the white band on the upper tail.
Thanks to all my visitors and for all the wonderful comments. I appreciate everyone who loves critters and has linked up their critter post.
Here is a list of my linky parties;
Also visit: I'd-Rather-B-Birdin. Thanks to the host Anni.

love the huge nests, and that you can walk safely there. We are in total lockdown, just over half way of the estimated 4 weeks, but we all are thinking it will go on for a lot longer. Another 3 deaths this weeks, all elderly and frail, family could not be with them. SO sad. Take care, fond greetings, Jean.
Hello Eileen
These are wonderful shots again! The bald eagle is wonderful and exciting to watch it like this at the pelicans or to see it in its nest wonderfully and I have never seen the snow geese too.
I wish you a nice Easter and take care of yourself and stay alive and well with your husband!
Hugs, Elke
Eagles are amazing birds. All these birds which we don't get to see in our area. Have a wonderful weekend.
Wow spectacular shots. I like the Eagles and the nest and the Pelicans of course the Snow Geese but best is the Northern Harrier. Love those Raptors. We had one---or more---hunt our pastures a lot
Happy Easter to you and your family
Stay safe

Hello Eileen,
You are showing so many beautiful photos! The Bald Eagle are so pretty.
Happy Easter! Take care and stay healthy!
That certainly is a great place to see a lot of birds and action. Lovet eh shot of the Juv. B Eagle Eileen. Thanks for hosting. I hope you have a wonderful Easter and that you, stay safe and healthy.
The Bald Eagles are my favorites!
Maybe because we don't have these majestic birds ... or maybe because I wish I could fly as high as they do!
Thank you for sharing!
I wish you a happy and blessed Easter!
Hello Eileen,
What a beautiful series of photos you show.
I love the bald eagle, you photographed it beautifully, my compliments.
If you want to post my link, I can't do that myself.
I wish you a very happy Easter and stay healthy.
Best regards Irma
Hello Eileen. Wonderful photos and birds. That looks like a great place for birds.
Happy Easter.
Happy Easter!
I like most the eagle sitting there in its nest! Gorgeous!
I think your theme for this post is White birds. :) There are lots of them. Love your snow goose, tundra svan and pelicans. And the eagles of course. I have not seen eagles since last summer, but I think they are around somewhere.
A great place for birders :)
Take care and stay safe!

Well that was a successful outing! Lovely to see the snow geese, in particular. Blessed weekend to you Eileen. YAM xx
I enjoyed the pictures of your visit to the nature reserve. Love bald eagles on nest photos.💚 Happy Easter!
I never knew pelicans herded fish like that. How great to be able to see bald eagles out your car window. It must have been a great experience visiting that Refuge. Thanks for the photos :) Mxx
Beautiful pics.
Greetings.
Stay well.
Lovely photos, Eileen. I love seeing the eagles and the pelicans.
Take care, stay safe and thank you for hosting.
Have a Happy Easter.
Love both the eagles and the pelicans, different but unique.
I pray for the world's good too and for our return safe to normal life.
I'd like to send you and your dearest my best wishes for a blessed Easter!
Tudo tão lindo! FELIZ PÁSCOA pra ti e teus! beijos, chica
...fabulous collection, but the eagles are my favorites. Take care Eileen and have a wonderful Easter.
Hi Eileen, I love all your bird photos, especially the eagles. You got some good ones there. I hope you have a wonderful and blessed, peaceful Easter. xx
Great to see the Bald Eagles doing so well. Our local pair were on the nest yesterday and I saw two Greater Yellowlegs, my first shorebirds of the spring. It may be difficult to get to some of the local hotspots, however,
São umas aves imponentes.
Um abraço e tenha uma Santa Páscoa.

We love seeing the Northern Harriers here and can tell by that big swath of white across the back near the tail. LOVE seeing all the geese and swans! WOW! And finding the Eagle's nest is amazing! I'm glad you were able to get out this week! We are getting out some....not as much though. Take care and thanks for the party! Hugs, DIane
Great variety this week. Don't think I've ever seen a snow goose. The RG 'distanced' in the boat for the first time this week and observed an Eagle on its nest in the propagation zone at the local state park.
Mostly, we have smaller birds. I enjoy seeing yours! Someone reported an adult eagle, with two juveniles, on our local lake.
Thanks for sharing yours!
Stay safe.
Thanks for hosting.
Such beautiful photos of birds...I can't choose a favorite, but maybe the eagle pair! Have a great Easter weekend.
Lucky birds, they don't have to care about gatherings...
Happy Easter!
these are awesome photos and even more so because you shot them from a car. especially those eagles. Wow on seeing and shooting from a car window...
Hello Eileen. And a Happy Easter to you too. You seem to have lots of Bald Eagles in your area. What a good sign that is that a top predator can make a living and that they are note persecuted. Stay safe and let's hope we can all get out for some new birding soon.
Thanks Sandra!
The wildlife refuge drive is nice, I can use the car as a blind, not spooking off the birds.
Take care and enjoy your day!
Thanks Phil! It is always a treat for us to see the eagles. Take care and enjoy your weekend!

happy easter eileen, stay safe and stay happy. many thanks for hosting us bird lovers!!!
Hello Jean,
We are seeing too many of the elderly in nursing homes dying from the virus.
We can go out for a walk, making sure to keep our distance. I live in a rural area, not as many people around as in a city. We do drive 15 minutes to the food store, hubby went to the store by himself the last time wearing a mask I made for him.
Thanks for the visit and comment.Take care and stay well.
Happy Easter to you and yours.

Hello, yes, I noticed that I had a lot of white birds. Thanks for the visit and comment. Take care, enjoy your weekend!
Thar was a very productive trip! We have had American White Pelicans on our local wetlands a couple of times. I was able to shoot a video of them herding fish into a corner of the lake and then feasting. Such remarkable cooperation.
I love the pics of the geese and the swans, Eileen! And of course the eagles!
Snow geese are rather antsy. It you sit and watch them they are often leaving the water only to circle back. We only see them on migration.
Eagle Party!!
what lovely photos of the birds, amazing selection of birds to see too.
Great photos! The juvenile Bald Eagle is my favorite today.
Happy Easter!
What great birding you had! I so love to see pelicans...probably about as much as eagles! They fascinate me.
Happy Easter, to you and your hubby!
Wishing you a very beautiful Easter. Different, yes. But still special. (The flying birds look like angels.)
Dear Eileen, thank you for the interesting post and for the meme for us to share our critters. I trust you're keeping well and safe. Jo

Love those eagles! May you have a peacefully blessed Easter!!
As always your photos are beautiful !
Happy Easter to you too, Eileen !
Greetings
Gosh those nests are massive works! Love seeing the eagles- you are so lucky! Be safe and hope all is well in your world.
I LOVE the shots of the eagle's nest and the juvenile. I am fascinated by them. I thought my first eagle pic was early last year here in Oklahoma, but while browsing through some of my old pics, I found one from 2 years ago in South Dakota. I took a pic of a flag stuck in a rock out in the middle of a lake, but on closer inspection there were 2 eagles perched in a tree next to it. Had I only known, I would have zoomed in on them, but I was too focused on the flag. :( Love your pics!
Wow, very nice ! Happy Easter in return !!
Hello Eileen and Happy Easter to you and your family too. What a sweet Easter bunny you posted too! My family has decided to just gather together with Zoom this year. My favorite photo is of that Eagle in a nest, just the sweetest watchful eagle ever. Your other nature moments are wonderful too.
Wonderful photography of the larger feathered friends ~ eagles are fascinating to me ~ great photos ^_^

Hello Irene, Thanks for the comment and visit. Take care, enjoy your day!
Beijinhos! Tudo de bom!
Ana
