Happy month of May!!
If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. I have seen migrants and new summer birds begin to arrive. On April 28th I saw my in my yard the Indigo Bunting and my Ruby-throated Hummingbird arrived. On April 30th, I saw a few Rose-breasted Grosbeaks.
The American Goldfinches look pretty in their bright colors.
The American Goldfinches land in the butterfly bush before heading to the feeders.
The birds like this White-throated Sparrow perched in our blueberry bushes. I have have a few of these sparrows around, they should be leaving soon.

DeleteI would love to have some Hummingbirds in Sweden, but we have nothing even similar to them. Love the beauties you have and the goldfinches is hard to miss. :)

Love those colorful yard birds. This is the first time since 2004 that we will miss spring migration and will be unable to participate in in the International Migratory Bird "Big Day" in Illinois on the second Saturday in May. Here in south Florida migration will be drawing to a close by then.

Baltimore Orioles have arrived back here and we put out our first oranges yesterday. No takers yet...but maybe today. The biggest event around here was a flock of sixteen American Avocets that stayed for one day only before moving on. A very unusual sighting for this location.

DeleteHow wonderful to see an indigo bunting, and hummer and grosbeak. Ours haven’t returned yet, but the hummingbird and oriole feeders are waiting. Enjoy tge weekend.

DeleteThis is an exciting time of year on both sides of the Atlantic Eileen. I hope we can all enjoy it in some way, despite the lockdowns. It's wonderful to se those migarnt birds bringing fresh life and colour into your yard. The Goldfinches in the dark green foligae look especially beautiful this morning. DeleteYour summer birds are so colorful! We didn't have the Goldfinches this year like we usually do. We had some but mostly House Finches. It's fun to see what might be different each day though. Happy weekend! Stay well!

Deleteyou have the most beautiful birds in your backyard, you must really look forward to this time of year!! i must have seen 10 white throated sparrows on the ground yesterday and my catbirds have returned!! i have never seen the bunting or the grosbeak.
