Happy Monday,
Hubby and I are happy when we can get out for a walk with nature and of course for the exercise. On this day we visited one of my favorite local parks Hashawha Nature Center. I have blogged many times about this park, there is always something to see.
Here are some of the birds we saw during our walk: Common Yellowthroat Warbler, Cedar Waxwing, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, House Wren and the Eastern Kingbird.
I really like the thistle, the bees were happy...
Some different sections of the loop trail we hiked, just me and my shadow.
I was surprised to see the Ruby-throated Hummingbird at the tippy top of a tree, it looked like a small dot.
We saw a heard a few of the Cedar Waxwings.
A noticed this bunny as we left the parking lot to start our walk.
The flowers were looking beautiful, dayliles, roses, daisies and a wild iris.
Me and my shadow on the trail..
I hope you enjoyed taking this walk. Always a pleasure to have you all come along with hubby and I.
We are staying safe, wearing the mask and keeping our distance until we feel safe. I hope you all are doing well too. I hope everyone is safe, happy and healthy. Take care and stay well.

DeleteAfter seeing a hummingbird visit the geranium I bought for the balcony I bought a hummingbird feeder. I found one that attaches to the glass under the railing with suction cups. I expected to see more hummingbirds, but my little guy must be keeping it a secret. He comes in the morning and evening for a long drink. - Margy

ReplyDeleteHello Michelle,

Great pictures! I absolutely love Cedar Waxwings. We had a Pyracantha bush next to our house when I was growing up. My mother always got excited when the Waxwings came through. Ever since then, I get excited when I spy one, too. They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHello Minerva,
DeleteI get excited to see the Waxwings in my yard too.
Thank you for the comment! Enjoy your day!
Eileen - I have not been able to get out for nearly as much bird-watching as I would like. Of course, we have our regulars at the feeders, but if you want to see something more unusual, you have to go looking for it! So, until then, I truly enjoy the menagerie that you bring to us! I always have to laugh when I see turtles lined up like that on a log - don't you wonder about the "conversations" they have when they are jostling for position? I had to chase off a bunny this morning that as just a BIT TOO CLOSE to my landscaping! Thanks for linking up to Mosaic Monday!
ReplyDeleteHello Angie,
DeleteYour yard birds would be new birds for me.
Thank you for the comment! Enjoy your day!
