Happy Thankful Thursday!

 Happy Thursday,

I am sharing some pretty sunset images taken from my back yard and deck.  The full moon images were from the end of October.

 1. Full moon taken on October 31st. I was thankful for clear skies on Oct 31st, the first full moon of October we had rainy cloudy skies.

I wonder of anyone else is having problems leaving comments, I can type a comment and it will just disappear when I click publish.  I have been having to do the verification with the pictures on most comments too. I am not a ROBOT!!!! Is this happening with you?

2.  The second full moon in October, called the Blue Moon.

3.  The moon seen on November 3rd. The moon phase is called Waning Gibbous.

4.  The sunset on Nov 3rd, the sky was looking beautiful.

5. The sunset colors can change in minutes, they went from looking orange to a pretty pink and purple sky.

6. I am thankful for a beautiful sunset and a lovely end to the day.

7.  I am thankful  and it is a pleasure to watch my back yard birds.

My bird for the day is the Hairy Woodpecker, it looks so similar to the Downy Woodpecker but it is larger in size.  The beak is thicker and the body is just bigger overall.  I can watch both the Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers visit my feeders.

Thankfully, we are happy and continue to be healthy.
I wish you all good health, take care and stay safe!

Go outside and breathe deeply.  Enjoy every moment.

Live simple and be happy!  😊 Keep smiling!

Thank you Michelle for hosting Thankful Thursday

  3. There have been so many awful fires in recent years that's what immediately springs to mind when I see those deep red images of the sky.

  4. That's an absolutely wonderful color changing sunset in the sky! The moon shots are outstanding and glad you able to capture both the full moons of October.

Yes, I've already had that they disappear when you send comments or pictures that are there because of spam.

  8. I love your moon and sky shots!

So far, no not having any trouble making comments...there are a couple that I have to be sure the comment page is fully loaded. They are ones where the comment is imbedded at the end of the post.

I hope you are not having trouble commenting on mine...I don't have either set to do any kind of verification. I just moderate all comments on the one because ever now and then I start getting the real hateful comments about being a baby boomer, and wishing us to die.

  10. HI Eileen...your sky shots are awesome, I really enjoyed all of them but my fav is the B & W moon shot the 3rd set...the detail is wonderful. The Hairy and Downy both great to see. I think the reason for the reduction of Hairy is habitat destruction cutting of cavity trees...the logging industry has never been insync with nature. they cut in spring when birds are nesting disrupting the whole cycle, so ONE huge logging cut can greatly reduce the numbers of successful egg laying and hatchling seasons.

Living here next to the forest, we are lucky to see various woodpeckers. I have seen both the Hairy and Downy at the same time on my feeders. Take care, enjoy your day!

Re comments; Blogger is playing around again at the moment and folk are experiencing all sorts of nonsense. In my case, it seems to think it has to autfill my name in the box, then I have to delete that before entering the comment itself!!! Deep breaths... YAM xx

  16. Such gorgeous photos Eileen! I am having the same issues with comments disappearing. I've got to where I do a quick copy before hitting publish so I can just paste if it disappears, since it usually takes 3 or 4 times before it actually posts. It's annoying!

  18. I do get that I am not a robot thing more often now, and have to copy comment before sending in case it disappears. I just take it in stride as there is not much else to do. I do send my feedback to Blogger quite often. Your photos are all amazing. Love the sunset shots. We get sunsets like that sometimes, but I can't see the horizon where I live, so my photos are seldom spectacular.
