Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
Hello and happy Saturday!
Happy Easter everyone!! 🐤 🐇
I have some back yard birds to share, seen on different days around the end of March.
1. I have been seeing the Pileated Woodpecker at our wood pile. If the Pileated Woodpeckers are not at the wood pile I hear and see them in the forest next to our house. This shot looks like a female and was taken from my dining room window.
2. Below a Downy Woodpecker with a Pine Warbler, the Woodpecker again with a Cardinal and a backside of the Cardinal with a Red-breasted Nuthatch.
3. The Pine Warbler is a summer bird, they breed in the forest next to our home.
4. I am still seeing the Red-breasted Nuthatch, at least 3 two males and a female come daily as of March 20th.
5. March 20th I was still seeing a few Pine Siskins at my feeders.
6. A bad bad bird, sitting on our swing. Just kidding, I know they need to eat to survive.
7. A Tufted Titmouse is one of my regular yard birds, seen year round.
8. From one of our fire road walks, I believe this a Hermit Thrush. I see a reddish tail. While walking the fire road, I could hear more Pine Warblers, I can hear the Eastern Phoebe and I was sure I heard a Northern Parula.
I hope you enjoyed my birds as much as I do, my simple pleasure is bird watching.
Thanks to all my visitors and for your comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves critters and has linked up their critter post.

Hi Eileen, Thanks for sharing and hosting another Saturday's Critters. I love the variety of birds you see at your location. Thanks for snapping all the photos and sharing. Hope you and yours have a blessed Easter. Best regards from Seattle. John
Your back yard is a wonderful haven for so many variety of birds. I hope the bad, bad bird does not harm the little birds nor deny them their food. Happy Easter to you too!
All these beautiful birds come to your place. You did really well with the camera!
Eileen - a superb collection of bird photos. I ADORE Pileated woodpeckers, so that is definitely my favorite. We don't have nearly as many spring birds here yet, so I thoroughly enjoyed this post! Happy Easter to you!
East west home is best!
I am glad the Heron are back Eileen and hope they nest so we might be able to see young ones later. Love all the birds and I assume when you say some of your birds are STILL here, you mean you thought they would be away at this time to breed? Happy Easter and thanks for hosting.
Beautiful series of critters. The Pileated woodpecker is the top awesome. So unique.
I wish you a peaceful and blessed Easter time and I thank you for hosting our posts.
All the best!
Seeing a pileated woodpecker from your window is fabulous. All your birds are wonderful!

A lovely collection of backyard birds.
I am always happy to see your bird photos! On your blog I got to know many species of birds unknown to me!
A woodpecker with a mohawk on its head is so cute!
Happy Easter to you too !

What a beautiful series of photos Eileen.
All photos are perfectly photographed, my compliments.
Photos 1 and 6 are my favorite.
Would you like to post my link, I cannot do this.
I wish you a happy Easter.
Greetings Irma
great birds as always. Love the sweet Titmouse. And the raptor is not bad. It does what it supposed to do. Like we do. And I think it is beautiful.
I hope you have a fine Easter. Weather here is sunny today and I will go down town. Not the woods today.
You have a lot of different birds visiting your birdfeeder! Here we only see sparrows and finches.
Hello Eileen,
Beautiful photos from your yard. The bad bad bird looks very pretty.
Yes, they need food they too.
Happy Easter!
The heron must be my favourite.
Beautiful images of your visitors. They love your place and you love taking their photos.:) Have a great day and s Happy Easter.
Great shot of the Pileated Woodpecker and through the window! The Pine Warblers are beautiful visitors. We had none this past fall and winter despite seeing them reliably in past years. Our local rookery has had no nesting night-herons for the first time since I "discovered" it about 13 years ago. Just one Green Heron. So sad that it has not survived the disturbances caused by hurricanes and the subsequent removal of their nesting trees which extended over the canal. I hope your herons make a comeback.
Lovely shots! Hope the herons are back! Wishing you a Happy Easter.
Thank you John, for the comment and for linking up your post!

Happy Easter, have a great weekend!
Thank you Ken!
It is sad to see a rookery not "survive". I am not sure what happened to our herons, could have been a storm, or the weather or construction work on a neighbor's house. I do love my Pileated Woodpeckers and the Pine Warblers. Happy Easter, have a great weekend!
love woodpecker... unique and beautiful bird
Beautiful pics.
Happy Easter greetings.
Happy Easter to you and your loved ones!
I am always a little envious of the ease with which you see a Pileated Woodpecker. Migrants are arriving in waves here. We saw our first Northern Flicker two days ago.
...Eileen, you sure attracted a wonderful collection. Thanks for hosting and enjoy your Easter.

Hello Eileen,:=) What a varied and fine selection of birds at your feeders. The Tufted Titmouse and Pine Warbler are really lovely, and I always enjoy seeing the Pileated Woodpecker which you are so fortunate to see so often. The LBJ Little Brown Job you describe as a Hermit Thrush, and I'm sure you are right, almost looks like the back of our Robin Redbreast.Superb shot of the Sparrow Hawk. There was one perched on my Balcony this morning but he saw the movement I made to get my camera, and flew away. I was sorry not to get a photo, but at the same time glad he went away.:=) Have a Happy Easter.:=)
So many beautiful birds. Thank you for sharing them with us!
Очень милые птички! Я даже не всех знаю. Спасибо!

That bad bad bird is so beautiful! I love seeing that Pine Warbler, too. Happy Easter to you and yours Eileen!
the hawk actually has an expression it its face and the wood pecker is really happy to find all that free dead wood.. Happy Easter
Wonderful critter pictures. My favorite is the very first one of the woodpecker.
Tudo tão lindo! Adorei ver o pica pau! FELIZ e ABENÇOADA PÁSCOA pra ti e teus! beijos, chica
Lovely yardbirds! You have a perfect place for them and wonderful pics. I like raptors too, but it is kind of a funny feeling when one perches in your yard right above the feeders ...I used to feel kind of guilty (back when we fed birds in your yard). Happy Easter and thanks as always!
Beautiful birds!
Happy Easter, Eileen, and thanks for hosting!
The neck of the pleated is so long! Love those nuthatches. Such a beautiful variety of feathered friends, Eileen. Love this post.

I think my favourite is the Pine Warbler, but all are lovely to see.
Enjoy your weekend.
Happy Easter Wishes.
All the best Jan
We are having a great influx of Pine Siskins here. I like them. Pileated Woodpeckers are amazing to watch. With the Siskins showing up that means the Goldfinches will be next and the Nuthatches.

Nice photos! I haven't got a pileated woodpecker photo in a long time. I glimpsed one in flight, and I hear them in the woods, but they haven't been to my feeders.

wishing you and yours a happy and blessed Easter! also, thank your for your beautiful post!
I do so enjoy your birds. I hope the herons do come back...I sure wonder why birds do things. We used to have so many Canadian geese pass through, and now see so few in comparison. But there is a lot of white fronted geese, snow geese, and swans.
Se ven preciosos, me gustan todos. Un beso.
