Saturday's Critters # 453

 Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

Hello and happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

My critters are from our yard and neighborhood.  The butterflies are loving the Buddleia, sometimes I see the Hummingbird fly into the bush to perch near the feeder. The Grand-dogs will be with us until my son has his fence built, it seems it takes a while to get HOA approvals.

1. July 27th , our butterfly bush is filled with the yellow and black Tiger Swallowtail butterflies. I finally saw a Monarch at the same butterfly bush and a Admiral Butterfly.

"Butterflies are nature's angels. They remind us what a gift it is to be alive."

2. July 27th, the Yellow Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly.

" Happiness is found in the warm sun and butterflies."

3. July 27th , my first sighting of the season, the Monarch butterfly.

4. Aug 1st, a walk on the fire road with the grand-dogs. Winnie the Corgi needs to stop and rest during the walks.

5. Aug 2nd, I sat on our deck and just watched the butterflies at the Buddleia bush. I was happy to see a Monarch butterfly visiting again. Others in the mosaic are the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and Black Swallowtail.

6.  Aug 2nd, same image as in the mosaic above, the Black Swallowtail butterfly.

7.  Aug 3rd, a few of my backyard birds, the Northern Cardinal, Mockingbird, Ruby-throated Hummingbird and the Tufted Titmouse.

A few of the birds like the Mockingbird and the Cardinal were in our blueberry bush.

8. A Blue Jay sitting in the back yard pine tree.

9. Aug 3rd, a Tufted Titmouse perched in the butterfly bush waiting to hop over to the deck railing for a peanut.

Thank you for sharing your critters and post!

Thanks to all my visitors and for your past and present comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves and respects wildlife. Thank you for linking up a critter post.

  8. Beautiful butterflies and birds. Butterflies used to visit my garden. Now that I have less flowering plants, the butterflies rarely visit my garden now. Now all I see are the small butterflies and occasionally the bigger ones.

  19. Gorgeous, your butterfly pictures, dear Eileen! Also here in our garden the Buddleia is very popular with bees and bumblebees and of course with butterflies, but there are other species in our country. I'm always amazed by the beautiful birds you see. Fortunately, I can also show some birds today - not from Austria, but from a bird sanctuary on Mallorca.
All he best and I pet your granddogs <3

  25. My friend is raising a Monarch; it just began a chrysalis yesterday. Hopefully, we can at school also. Our tiger swallowtails, at least at my house, are only in June when the lilac blooms. First the Canadian Tiger Swallowtails, then the Easterns. And the black swallowtails? Oh, Jody and I have had lots of fun raising them! Your blog is such a pleasure. Thank you for all of this. My butterfly season was non-existent this year because of very cold weather and snow in May and June. It brought warm memories of hunting flutterbys.

Hope the HOA comes through soon for your kids and their fence. (Ours in CO had the same thing with the fence for their big white dog! But they don't have wonderful parents who will take care of the dog like yours. They were glad to get it in finally and so was the dog!)
