For my Camera Critters I have some birds and lizards seen around our Curacao hotel.
Sometimes while hubby was snorkeling right off the beach at our resort, I was walking around the hotels grounds checking out all the birds and the lizards. During our vacation I picked up a few new life birds and saw some new critters.
One of the many iguanas seen around the hotel.
Above is a Tropical Mockingbird.
These Bare-eyed Pigeons were always hanging around the outside restaurant tables. I guess looking for leftovers. The Bare-eyes look like a bulls-eye to me.
Above is a Whiptail Lizard, they were quick to move out of your way. I love the colorful tail.
The Troupial above were also hanging around the outside tables. Sometimes landing on the tables and stealing a sugar packet and flying off with it. I think all of birds in Curacao love Sugar.
I hope you enjoyed my post and to see more cute and wonderful critters please visit: Camera Critters

that mockingbird image was a favorite for me, they have such intense eyes!!
yay, it's friday, have a wonderful weekend!!
The lzards are so cool.
Fantastic captures! Creepy creatures win hearts too! :)
Incredible finds!!! The lizards are striking with their colors. I love the Iguana....and the birds are very interesting as well. YOu must have had a blast with all the new material to film:)
Wow, enjoyed these critters, never seen any of them before and your pictures are wonderful.
I think they are having their holiday too.
The tail is so long. When I was in High School, these 4 legged snake came and stole my parents' ducks. We trapped so many of them.
I love that tropical Mockingbird and the Troupial - such pretty colors!
I've never even known there was a tropical Mockingbird. I miss reptiles period where I live. The only native one I've seen is a legless lizard which for the most part lives under the ground here. The one I saw was when my wife and I were taking a walk in the neighbourhood and it was having difficulty getting across a paved road as there was nothing for it to manuver around like grass blades or sticks.
Biggest natural iguanas we had were Chuckwallas in Anza Borrego State Park in So-Cal.
Great shots of all the critters.
I've never seen any of them before either.
Thanks for sharing.

I enjoyed seeing these interesting birds and lizards.
The pigeons' eyes really look odd!
Very nice!!
Such beautiful nature shots ... the yellow and black bird is especially fascinating.
Best regards, Karin
Hi Eileen, When I was six, we spent a vacation in Mexico City. I made friends with kids who gave me a huge Iguana. Can you imagine the look on my poor mother's face when I paraded the Iguana into our motel room by a twine leash? To say the least, the critter was escorted by my dad back where it came from. Funny to think of that all these years later. Love today's post with great pictures! Have a super Sunday tomorrow!
wow, those sure are some interesting critters! What a place to visit! Love the lizards!
So lovely. That last bird looks charming with its orange breast.
What a wonderful collection of creatures! The iguana is like an enlarged version of our garden lizard.
Your header shot is amazing. Very nice and unusual collection of critters. I'm especially fond of the lizards—as photos. ;)
wonderful way to spend your time!!
beautiful captures!!
you got some great shots!
that's a great vacation activity
I love lizards and iguanas
Nice shots of the colorful wildlife. Iguanas just look awesome, but I've never seen one in the wild.
Your bird pictures are very nice, I love these little mini crocodiles, we don't have them here it's too cold, but in Italy I have seen some !
Look at that handsome iguana! Those Bare Eyed Pigeons are scary looking, but the Tropical Mockingbird looks sweet. Love the white spots & the iridescent green of the lizard tail. And sugar packet stealing birds? that's funny! =)
I really love the lizard, it makes tingle with excitements, all of them are fantastic.
great captures - love the lizards!
Wonderful post . I guess pigeons are pigeons the world over -- but these ones are prettier than usual to me. And the other birds are wonderful.
I enjoyed the photographs of each lizard and the birds.
Wonderful shots. Those pigeons made me smile. Looks as through they have been in a fight and have black eyes!
Very cool. My CC pic is up too.
Awesome shots, Eileen. Love them all :)
Thanks for dropping by. Have a great weekend.

Beautiful photos of the critters. They are beautiful. Looks like you had a great time there.
Fantastic critters! I have not seen the Bare-Eyed pigeons before..
I love the lizards, particularly the whiptail. It looks like a gorgeous place for vacation!
The birds and lizards are fun to see. Not seen a Tropical Mocking Bird before, and did not know about them actually. Thanks.
Clicked over from a comment and realized I've been here before, but now I notice that the mockingbird looks almost exactly (to my untrained eye anyway) like the ones we have here -- could be, we are in at least the subtropics.
beautiful pictures especially the colorful bird...so pretty indeed! Dropping by from Camera Critters
