Hello, I am again sharing another one of our walks. This time hubby and I were walking the trail that follows along the Susquehanna River. The trail has great views of the river and is usually a great place to see the birds. The Bald Eagles are known to nest along this river and there is also a Great Blue Heronry.
Above first row is a Song Sparrow, unknown flycatcher, Tree Swallows. Middle row is a Double Crested Cormorant, Great Blue Heron, Gulls. Bottom row another Great Blue Heron, Osprey on the wire and a juvenile Bald Eagle.
A view of the Susquehanna River, way in the distance is the bridge that carries Highway I-95 across the river. For my NF Tree entry the river is lined with a hardwood forest.
A view below the Conowingo Dam, the hang out with a group of DC Cormorants and one Great Blue Heron.
Some scenes from along the Susquehanna River trail, lots of trees one tree with many carved initials, some wildflowers, the river and a Red-spotted Purple butterfly.
I thought this flower was delicate and pretty, a tiny flower with spider webs. I hope enjoyed this walk with me and my hubby. We enjoyed having you along. Thanks for visiting and for the nice comments. Have a happy new week ahead!

Hello, Eileen! Visiting you, while I have net over here...
Great shots, as usual!
Lovely views along the river... and I loved the wildflowers!
I'm terrible sorry, for not visiting you here, for quite a while, but I have not much net here, where I have been, in these last weeks. And some blogs are not easy to see, in such conditions...
But in a couple of weeks I'll be able to visit you, much more often again...
Have a great week, Eileen!
A big kiss to you...
Ana
What peaceful images of birds you have shown us. I like the flower in the last photo too. It is so modest.
Have a good week,Eileen.
Whenever I hear Susquehanna River I think of my dad who grew up near there and spoke of it often. Your photos are wonderful as always and I especially enjoyed the last one with its delicate beauty. Have a good week!

Just beautiful Eileen. :-)
Ah, the Susquehanna River! I love it. The last time I crossed that river, there was a herd of horses galloping along the top of the western bank. They made a beautiful memory for me!
It must be so fun spending time on the river trail that is so beautiful!
So many pretty photos! I love the dramatic water and rocks shot.
Greetings from Greece. I'm sorry you can't be here Eileen. But the Susquehanna view looks as beautiful as here. Enjoy your week.

I hope we could see those beautiful places. Maybe we see, but I dont notice the beauty like you do. Have nive week!
That is quite a group of birds hanging about...and a beautiful waterway with all sorts of beauty! Enjoy your week!
The cormorants don't seem to mind the lone heron hanging out with them - they all seem quite peaceable. Would be nice if people were the same way!

Worth a Thousand Words
What a beautiful walk! Your photos and collages are stunning. You are an inspiration Eileen, you are truly living life to it's fullest, and not only that, you take time out to stop to admire the little birds and smell the roses (or whatever flowers you come across!) along the way. And! Wait there's more.... you always have time to stop by at all of our blogs to say hello! Something I sadly have not done as much of as I would like, thank you for being such a generous part of my blogging life!

More great pictures. I really like the delicate pretty pink flower.
What a beautiful set of photographs. These are really good. I like the one where all the birds were all perched in the middle of the river.

Very pretty - I love the expansive view of the river.
Hi Eileen, I really like your new header. The picture of those Cormorants and the Great Blue Heron is really good. I so enjoy seeing your pictures of the parks and preserves. Have a great Tuesday tomorrow!
I was going to ask how does one pronounce the name of this park. It is certainly a beautiful place. Lovely birds to view through your lens.
Look at all those birds! The Susquehanna River trail looks to be a birder's paradise, Eileen!
Hello Eileen, i am back in blogging, haha. Seeing a lot of birds in one spot i guess is real awesome, i haven't seen a spot like that in my country. I saw once in Auckland but they are seagulls with people on the beach, not the real wild ones. I also love that lonesome flowering plant.
Looks like a wonderful place!
Wonderful images, Eileen!
Wonderful nature photos! Birds,flowers, water!
oh gosh I sure would like to go there myself, now that it's Spring here i"m hoping I can start getting out and about more.
A great spot for a walk! Love the photo of the comorants.
What a cool place to walk. Lots of nice shots.
Clearly a super place to see lots of nature's beauty and birdlife! I loved that you mentioned the I-95 bridge as it brings back fond memories of our vacation time in MD and PA! I'll know for next time to stop and walk the trails! Thanks Eileen!
Love these shots Eileen. The first view of the river (& bridge) is beautiful! What a lush place for wildlife and plants.
Wendy
I love that you are always at the most interesting natural places.
It looks like a lovely park to capture great shots of nature! Have a super day!
Where do you live again? I think I want to move there. You seem to have the best of everything and you are so adept at capturing it all on camera. Love your groupings. Have a wonderful day, Eileen.

Hi Eileen, you always do such a beautiful job with these mosaics!! This looks like a great hang out spot for the bigger birds!! I loved the purple flower, dressed with cob webs for early Halloween!!
Cormorants always seem to hang out in a pack or a flock or whatever one calls a bunch of corms.

Lovely images! Back when I was a young teen, I took a picture as we crossed the Susquehanna and it came out slightly cloudy but in a dreamy way. So that's what I remember about that river.
