Happy Thankful Thursday

Hello and happy Thursday!

Happy Birthday to my son, Dec 7th!

I hope no one is tired of seeing my moon photos. I took some more photos of the full moon in November. I am thankful for some clear nights and morning where I can see the moon looking beautiful.

Here is the moon in a mosaic taken on Nov 22nd.

On the morning of November 23rd we had cloudy skies. I think it made the moon images look a little more dramatic.

The November full moon is called the Beaver Moon or the Full Frost Moon.

Nov 23rd the Pine Siskin in a cup. I put some sunflower seeds in these cups and the birds were sitting in the food and chowing down.

One of my winter birds is the Dark-eyed Junco.  They enjoy eating off the ground or deck.

Some pretty skywatch images from Nov 27th.

I am thankful for the simple pleasures, like skywatching and  birdwatching.

A thankful heart is a happy heart.
am thankful for all your visits and comments.

Thank you Michelle for hosting Thankful Thursday

  5. When I went to a bird breeding centre a couple of weeks ago they had a fledgling in a cup like that. I never thought of putting one out for birds in the garden. We have a feeder with a small ledge on it which dangles from a pole, and the smaller birds can get the seeds but the big greedy pigeons can't.

  17. These days I don't spend enough time staring at the moon. Through much of my life I was outdoors much more than now. As kids we didn't have TV so were outside in the evenings.

  21. Your moon shots are absoutely beautiful. I like them all especially the ones with the clouds. The birds have a nice friend who feeds them and takes their photo and I'm sure they appreciate that.

  24. Happy birthday to your son! Your moon photos are beautiful. The ones on the partly cloudy night are so compelling. I wish we would get more pine siskins around here. They are occasional winter visitors, but not very common.

  31. How lovely for it to be your Son's Birthday! Best wishes to him :D)
Eileen, your moon shots are beautiful and, yes, the clouds create a real moody effect, the trees too.
I like your glass feeder, lol so do the birds - the Pine Siskin is really tucking into the seeds but is also keeping a wary eye out... I like when I see the little birds do that, it helps keep them out of danger doesn't it.
Have a great weekend, cheers now!

  47. Just read several back posts, Eileen. All lovely with accompanying gorgeous photos. I'm a nature/bird nut too and have two feeders running right now...it seems I'm attracting the same birds as you here in Ontario. May I ask what kind of camera you are using? Happy Sightings now.
