Happy Monday everyone!
Spring has sprung in my neighborhood and yard. Our first blooms to see are the daffodils. We are seeing lots of new buds on the trees and our forsythia is about to bloom.
I was thankful for my hubby doing some spring cleaning in the yard and pond. The frogs will be happy that the leaves were removed. Living next to the forest, we have way too many leaves in our yard. I saw about 5-6 frogs in our little pond. One day I saw the frog eggs floating on top of the pond.
The Carolina Chickadee has a nest in our side yard, they were fussing at me one day when I walked past to get our mail.
The Great Blue Herons are adding to their nest, I guess to make it sturdier!
Thanks for your visit today! I hope you enjoyed my post and photos.
Thanks to Angie the host of Mosaic Monday
Thanks to LadyFi the host of Our World Tuesday!

The birds are wonderful as always, but you can probably guess that today it is your daffodils that are making me happy. I love these beauties so much and do not see them at all these days.
ReplyDeletelove the frogs and would love to live on edge of forest. our rain barrel the frogs are doing their thing. as soon as they do I am aborting the eggs.. no more frogs or tadpoles in the rainbarrel….
ReplyDeleteYour shot of the chickadee reminded me I haven't filled my feeders.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see herons are making more to their nest, it does look a bit insecure at this point. You soon will have tadpoles to add to your zoo!
ReplyDeleteNo daffodils here yet but hopefully if we get some warm weather we will see some soon!
ReplyDeleteWonderful springtime... I enjoyed the description and captures.

ReplyDeleteLast year was the first time I saw blue herons in a tree. It was fascinating to watch them.
ReplyDeleteEileen - we have Montana spring-time weather today. One moment sun, the next a blizzard of flurries! So I got a kick out of your daffodils and the fact that you have already seen frog eggs. They sure didn't waste any time! Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, my friend!

ReplyDeleteDaffodils and chickadees are everywhere in my world but frogs seem to hide out and are a little more difficult to spot. It would be nice to see more them here. :)

Your spring is ahead of us, of course, but we are getting there. Many migrants have returned and are staking out territories and seeking mates. Renewal is in the air.
