Hello,
Happy Monday, wishing everyone a great day and new week!
These are some images from around my yard and our walk on the local bike trail.
I have some blooms from around our yard, we are having enough rain to make everything grow well. It was nice see the clematis plant bloom a second time.
The Lantana growing in this pot is huge, taking up a corner of our deck.
Some potted annuals on the table, upright Fuchsia, Zinnias, Salvia and some herbs.
Usually this fuchsia is sold in a hanging basket, but we found growing in a pot at our local nursery.
Our local bike trail, we can walk a few miles on the flat trail. We usually try walking early in the morning, to avoid the hot and humid afternoons.
A view of our bike trail called the NCR trail or the North Central Railroad rails to trails.
Along the trail is a bench for resting and some Bee Balm. I am seeing Bee Balm everywhere we walk lately.
I had a quick view of the Great Blue Heron flying up the river. Below a view of the Gunpowder River, some hosta blooms and down by the river are the orange daylilies.
I was able to catch this Belted Kingfisher perched on a tree above the river.
Maybe you will visit the following memes and links. I hope to see you there.

We have a lantana too who thinks its purpose in life is to occupy the entire deck and begin its ascent of the fence. I think its next target will be the house!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo mosaics, Eileen. I'd love to hear what you think of the fox in my post. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Eileen! You've shown us some beautiful flowers. I had completely forgotten about lantana; most likely though because I'm having to plant in pots due to the dragged grasshoppers!
ReplyDeleteWish I had your beautiful walking trail. I miss not having that.
xoxo

A stunning display in your own garden, and the Kingfisher? What's up, he says as those feathers all stand up on end. That is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteFuchsia is my wife's favorite flower.
ReplyDeleteI like that trail, perfect to run .... (I am a running addicted).
I love that view down the trail, Eileen! You flowers are doing very well I may try Lantana in a pot next year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful trail to be able to walk to. Nature is everywhere and looking good. Your flowers are very pretty. I love to sit on the bench, the area looks very peaceful. Have a wonderful new week.
ReplyDeleteI love your porch. It is too hot to sit outdoors, but I hear we are in for a short break in the heat. Fingers crossed. Your flowers are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers! And awesome kingfisher.

ReplyDeleteYour flower garden is lovely!
ReplyDeleteSo much colour in your pots. I am envious of your overflowing wonderful flowers.
ReplyDeleteYou have very nice flowers. The lantana we planted a few weeks ago just died. WE can't grow lantana for some reason, even though they say it's a hardy plant.
ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
I would give a lot to be able to take off on that NCR trail, or to have one near here and Roger be able to go....he tires out so quickly these days.
ReplyDeleteForgot to say I did love all the flower shots, too.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou spread beauty! Kingfishers are difficult to get a good photo of!
ReplyDeleteYou live in a beautiful world! Envious of your Kingfisher ...they won’t hold still for me. I need to get myself back into the morning walk habit. It’s not hot and humid here and n Oregon, but I see more birds in mornings.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful summer blooms in your garden.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are doing so well and I like that trail.
ReplyDeleteOh such delightful flowers Eileen. Your pots are filled with many pretties which makes your deck look so beautiful and beckoning :D) Lovely to read your comments as you walk and I googled Bee Balm... what a lovely plant. Cheers to you xx
ReplyDeleteAt least the rain is good for something LOL. It is green and flowery over here too. You captured pictures of beautiful blooms. And that belted kingfisher....wonderful capture.
ReplyDeleteEileen - how blessed you are to have the clematis bloom a second time! I adore the bee balm and the belted kingfisher. Thanks so much for linking to Mosaic Monday!

ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely yard Eileen, I've always been a great fan of the prolific clematis flowers they are stunning and the dainty ballerina fuchsia is another favourite of mine - bee balm is a new one for me though!

Looks like a beautiful trail with flowing river on a side and flowers bloomed around! Lantana grows here as wild flower to spread widely taking away lot spaces and fuchsia grow in cold weather mountains which I have shot couple of time. Lovely photos and I enjoyed the bench and blooms at your home.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics. Nice post!
ReplyDeleteLove all those flowers!
ReplyDeleteMorning walks are definitely the way to go to beat the heat - it looks like you have a lovely space to wander in. Also, such beauty & colour found in your garden. Lovely captures.
ReplyDeleteThe bench by the bee balm looks sooooo welcoming!
ReplyDeleteThe mosaics are beautiful, and, the Belted Kingfisher stands out, superb.
ReplyDeleteFlowers (and garden gnomes) make the very best mosaics.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers you have and the green trail looks so inviting to hike!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful floral shots ~ divine colors and love the Kingfisher ^_^

Wow! So beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen!
ReplyDeleteMen så trevligt med blombilder och för en gångs skull är det bekanta växter, jag brukar ju inte känna igen de fågelbilder du visar för de flesta finns inte här men växterna, de känner jag igen.
your flowers are gorgeous, i hope they faired well in the storm. i didn't have any fatalities!!
ReplyDeletethe trail looks beautiful, how nice that someone lined it with flags. awesome capture of the kingfisher!!!
Your flowers are gorgeous and so is that belted Kingfisher. I don't think I have ever seen one so that pleasure is yet to come. Thank you for sharing all these great photos Eileen, enjoy the rest of your week :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if my earlier comment came through, because we lost internet for a short while?
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely post, your flowers look amazing, so colourful.
I always enjoy your mosaics especially nice to see the sweet gnome.
All the best Jan
Eileen, you always have such wonderful floral and bird photos. What an eye!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are gorgeous, Eileen. I could simply on your porch. I'd be happy to water them for you when it's not raining. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are really lovely! Fuchsia's are a favorite of mine. I had them in Alaska. There they are a different variety that you can winter over for the next year. I hated to give them away, but I traded it in for flowers like yours and birds too.
ReplyDeleteWow! There are many beautiful flowers. Your yard looks like a botanical garden. have nice days!
ReplyDeletethat looks like a lovely place to walk and great view of the kingfisher
ReplyDeleteWe have some Rails to Trails paths near us - they are so nice. Love your picture of the Kingfisher!
