Happy Thankful Thursday!

Happy Thankful Thursday!

Welcome Spring! May your days blossom with joy and blessings.

Hello, I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.  It is best to take some precautions than to end up sick. Maryland schools are closed for a few weeks, large gatherings are canceled. I do feel safe taking my walks outdoors and enjoying nature.

These are some more photos from our recent getaway to Ocean City, Maryland.  We were up early, like the birds to enjoy the sunrise.

The boardwalk at Ocean City Maryland.

March's full moon called the  Worm Moon, rising on the morning of March 9th.

 Ocean City's ferris wheel.

Below on the top row are the female and male Buffleheads ducks. On the bottom of the mosaic are the Common Loon on the bottom left and Red-throated Loons (longer necks) on the bottom right.

Me and my shadow at Ocean City's Inlet.  I am always thankful for a getaway with my hubby.

I am always thankful for my local library's ebooks. The latest book I  read is  Harbour Street by  Ann Cleeves it is #6 in the Vera Stanhope series. I  discovered  the Vera series late, I have a few more to go.

I am thankful for good health, I wish the same for everyone! Stay safe, stay well and stay happy peeps!

I am always thankful for your visit and comments.
Live simple and be happy!  😊 Spread happiness!

  3. Drastic new rules down here, as at 11.59 tonight, Thursday, if you are not a NZ citizen or permanent resident, you cannot enter our country. We now have more positive cases today, one in the same city where our older daughter lives, the person returned from France, and spent some 6 days where? I worry more than usual at all the world problems, shut downs, redundancies, airlines shutting off travel to other countries, and other borders closed. BUT, I am thankful I do not need to travel and have plenty to occupy my days. Stay safe, Eileen and your family, enjoy those solitary walks.

  7. What beautiful photos Eileen.
Here everything is closed, schools, catering, everything is shut down, factories are closing now, also, there is already talk of a lock down, which means that no one can go outside, just for the necessary groceries, I really hope that this is not possible to happen.
It is already in Spain, Italy, Belgium and France, where nothing is allowed outside.
    Best regards Irma

    1. Hello Irma, it is hard to keep everyone indoor here. Most are staying inside, we still have to shop for food.

  8. Lovely! The moon and Ferris wheel shine best at night. There’s a television series with a detective named Vera but I didn’t realize the stories stemmed from books. Murder mysteries make for cozy reading when we need to stay indoors.

  40. Oh Eileen. Everything about the East Coast takes me straight to Nicholas Sparks novels which is a beautiful dreamy world filled with boardwalks, ferris wheels, lighthouses and amazing beaches! I've seen a lot of marinas in California and Washington but I can't capture that magic that surely I can only feel out there. Someday :)

    Stay Safe Eileen!

  41. It has been years since I've been to Ocean City. You've reminded me of what a relaxing place to go this time of year. I envy your being able to visit there!

PS: Did our walk along the towpath in Brunswick MD today - My friend and I counted FIVE Pileated Woodpeckers. How I wish I had my camera! You for sure, would have and gotten some fabulous photos! :-)

  45. Great photos!
I am staying away from large crowds and using hand sanitizer when I am out, but I am not in a panic like some folks here are.
The mayor of Tupelo ordered all the restaurants closed except for drive-thru take out windows beginning Monday. And in effect for this weekend, inside diners must be seated at least 6 feet apart.
I really do believe this whole thing is being blown way out of proportion!

  46. Beautiful pictures as always. Thanks for sharing! I'm hoping it clears a bit so I can get out for a walk today. Still a bit grey and it is sprinkling here right now. Boo!

  47. Lovely post, lovely photos! I always enjoy getting up for sunrise on the beach when we are away. Your Ferris Wheel and the moon shots are very striking. It's nice to make plans for the next getaway. We are doing the same but will have to wait for a while. I will just sit back and enjoy that book you mentioned. It will be a good time to catch up on some reading. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day, and the weekend ahead.

The Corona situation in Sweden is not that bad yet. But I think it is mostly because we have some good people in charge to run things. :)
