Hello, Happy Thursday everyone!
Time is flying by, it's last Thursday of March. Easter on April 12th is just a couple of weeks away.
I wanted to start my post by saying I am thankful for the Doctors, Nurses, all medical staff, Police and the EMT's they are all taking risks exposing themselves to the Covid-19.
I am sharing some more photos from our last visit to Assateague Island National Seashore. We saw a lot of the wild ponies, some birds and we walked on the trails and beaches. I also have another Ocean City sunrise & a sunset and the Super Worm Moon rising up out of the ocean.
Below the Ocean City Maryland sunrise on March 9th, similar skies shots that I already shared were from March 8th.
"Keep looking up, that's the secret of life." Charles M. Schulz
I am thankful for the beauty I see, when looking up!
A walk on the boardwalk at Assateague Island National Seashore.
Various scenes and a Great Blue Heron and a Belted Kingfisher seen during our walk.
I always have fun taking the "me and my shadow" shots. This was from our walk on the trail at Assateague Island Nat'l Seashore.
March 9th sunset at Ocean City's inlet, Maryland. It is not often I see the wave clouds in the photos below.
Waves clouds, these clouds are created when two different layers of air are moving at different speeds. It was a windy day.
The Super Worm Moon on March 9th, Ocean City Maryland.
March full moon rising over the Atlantic Ocean.
Here is is list of the books I've finished this past week.
Claire DeWitt and the City of the Dead # 1 in the Claire DeWitt mystery series
Dear Mrs. Bird by A.J. Pearce, it is a Historical Fiction
The Seagull by Ann Cleeves # 8 in the Vera Stanhope series, my favorite out of these three books.
"All is well, that's my new philosophy." Charles M. Scultz
I am thankful all is well! I hope you are well too.
I am always thankful for your visit and comments.
Live simple and be happy! 😊 Spread joy & happiness!

Thank you Eileen for sharing your wonderful nature photos - as always the blue heron is my favourite - amazing size and wing spread. We are 'taking care', following all the rules for safety, keeping away from other at 2 metres/6 feet and usually more. Shopping in a small well stocked organic type grocery store that has added a sink with hot/cold/soap/paper towels outside and washing as a must - and a person watches each person and counts how many may be in the store (about 6) at a time. He sprays bleach water on the washing area after each person washes. Space is maintained. Items are limited by the store, they have a good stock of groceries (and have never carried paper products). Cashiers are behind plexiglass 'wall' protection, floor is marked where to stand while waiting ones turn and where one stand to pay (no cash is taken, only debit or charges). Safety for staff is very good too. Everyone is very aware and careful. I noticed today that the shoppers are much more aware of keeping themselves safe too. All handles, surfaces, etc. are cleaned by staff all day long. Right now it is the only grocery store I feel safe to shop in.
ReplyDeleteHugs, take great care.
Joy

ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite books as a child was "Misty of Chincoteaque" by Marguerite Henry. It was such a fond memory that I named my first horse Misty when I was in junior high. And then when I turned 40 I renamed my Christmas present horse Misty. FooFoo just didn't fit her or me. - Margy
ReplyDeleteThat sunset is spectacular. It looks like you had a great time. Early March seems like such a long time ago. Looking forward to a time when we can go places without worrying so much about avoiding contact with others.
ReplyDeleteI would really like to know the pronunciation of the refuge (will have to google)

Beautiful nature shots. I, too, am thankful for all the essential staff that must go to work but do so altruistically and often at a risk to their own well-being. Also, thankful to all the regular folk who are doing the right things asked of them to stop the spread.
