I am continuing with some of my archived photos from a trip to Costa Rica in 2010. I am so thankful I have a lot of my old trip photos archived on my external hard drive, they are easy to find.
1. I am sharing more images from Tortuguero, Fortuna, Guanacaste, the Arenal Volcano, the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean.

2. Views of the Lake Arenal, Arenal Volcano and wind turbines.
3. Various Costa Rica Birds:
First row on a utility pole at our Tortuguero resort the Collared Aracari Toucan, Black-cheeked woodpeckers on the same pole later, unknown hummingbird possibly a female Lucifer Hummingbird, Great Kiskadee, Anhinga, Blue-Gray Tanager, two Crested Caracara in flight, Snowy Egret and Crimson fronted Parakeet.
4. Guanacaste, Pacific Ocean and a Brown Pelican. I love watching the Pelicans, they look so peaceful when they fly by.
5. Guanacaste sunset on the Pacific Ocean.
6. I am thankful for beach time, a walk on the beach in the warm sunshine. Give thanks for a little, you will find a lot.

7. Another look at the sunset.
Hubby and I are looking forward to traveling again, maybe a trip in early May. we are undecided it could be a fly-drive or a road trip. Part of the fun of traveling for me is researching the place we are visiting. I look for the places to stay, parks, scenic views and drives.
I am thankful we continue to stay safe and healthy.

HI Eileen, wonderful shots from your archives, I hope the vaccine will save lives, it is however not a protection against catching the virus only surviving it if you catch it...So I put little hope in the vaccine's controlling the virus still up to people to stop the spread. The word vaccine is misleading, it is not immunization. BUT it could save lives for sure. Hope you have a great day!!

i have been wanting to visit the beach each day for the last week. if i don't get there, these pictures certainly helped fill my desire!!
i enjoyed seeing the pelican and the image of the hummingbird is awesome!! the sunset is gorgeous...i can't wait for a day trip or weekend get-a-way, soon i know!! stay safe, well and happy!!!

The pelican is my favorite bird (we used to sail) so thanks for including it. You must have had a fantastic time in Costa Rica. So many pictures and a good thing you set them up for easy access. My pictures from a long life are in a box. Soon to be gone through by me. Have a wonderful day, I'm so glad I stared to follow your blog. I've been here before, years ago. I will check if I'm already a follower, if not I will become one.

Those brilliant sky colours, truly awesome. Vaccine or not, I will give it a miss if the comment from UK are to be believed, anyone with reactions to drugs or allergies should avoid it for now. Travel, the fun of planning and seeing what the places have to offer is a great way to look ahead, and have a dream when travel will eventually be safe or even possible.

Thank you for sharing your Costa Rica photos. We were there 2 years ago. We visited Arenal and mostly stayed on the west coast in Tamarindo. We took lots of nature tours and saw plenty of wonderful birds and other critters. I love the planning of trips too. I can't wait until we can travel again.
