A few shots of my yardbirds

It has been cool lately seeing all the action at the birdhouses and seeing the juvies in my yard. Yesterday evening I was out in my yard checking on my plants when three juvie Mockingbirds landed on my fence.  I was able to snap a few photos before they flew off into the treetops.

                                Juvie Mockingbird

So, I continued my walk around the yard when this crazy house wren looked at me like I was it's enemy. It started flying around me acting crazy. Finally it went back into it's birdhouse. I'm sure this is the same wren I have seen my bluebirds dive bombing.

                                     Crazy House Wren

Poppa Blue is very protective of his mate and feeders. I have seen him chasing squirrels, chipmunks and other birds from my feeders and deck.

This is my post for The Friday Ark , thanks for stopping by.

What a lovely backyard you have Eileen! Good for Papa Bluebird taking care of things like he is supposed to do. Silly wren!

Our mockingbirds here have stopped waking us up so early; I guess they're all settled in with their families by now.

Great to see all the juvenile activity in your yard. Wren's the world over get very agitated when you invade their space..lol.

You have captured some lovely photos of your backyard birds Eileen. I have never seen a bluebird other than in photos and on TV, and we used to have a mockingbird visit but not any more.

If you have time to stop by, my Camera Critter post is right here.

Enjoy your weekend!

Oh, they are all so cute and precious. I love birds and so admire photographers who can capture them on camera. It is difficult to do at times.

Little birds do some crazy things sometimes - fledgelings are the best for craziness. Nice pics of your yardbirds.

Gorgeous shots of your yardbirds Eileen! My favorite, of course, would be the Bluebird. What a great variety of avian fauna you have in your own backyard. I bet your neighbors are green with envy :-)
