Three very pretty birds Eileen. Thank you for hosting :) Happy New Year!
Took some good observation to see that little creeper, didn't it?! They sure do "blend" in.
And love the Grebe---though it looks like a bad hair day-ha ha!

Hi! Very beautiful captures. Thanks for sharing. Wishing you a Happy New Year.
I must visit that place. My brother in New Jersey taunts me to fly up there and drive down with him. I envy your Brown Creeper photo. The few I have taken were horrible! Best wishes and thank again for hosting this great site!
it is hard to see that sweet little creeper..keeps him safe I bet... I don't have any critters to share, but i would if i did..
That brown creeper sure is blending into it's surroundings, he must have been hard to spot. Wishing you a very Happy New Year Eileen
Oh you caught the Creeper, hard to see one, but you did, well done.

I saw a brown creeper once, and didn't know what it was. Now, that I do, will I see one? Probably not. My luck.
Great photos as always Eileen
Hi Eileen,

Best regards, Synnöve

It's nice to have a blogging sister that knows her birds. It's always an education for me when I visit Eileen and I don't usually recognize birds you're sharing, but the song sparrow is one I do.
Have a good weekend!
It's nice to have a place like that! Love the little grebe. I haven't seen as many of those this winter as I have in the past.
Dearest Eileen; Love the brave looking Song Sparrow and cute Pied-billed Grebe; most of all, when I saw your Brown Creeper blending in with the tree, I looked for its head and found :-) Wonderful photographs♡♡♡
Wishing you bright and healthy year end, my friend.

That little creeper blends in so well Eileen. If we could do that it would make birding a whole lot easier.

Hello Eileen,

The Song sparrow is gorgeous, not sure we the species in France!
My favorite is the Tree creeper, we have them but they remain always to far from my camera!!
Hugs from France and happy last 2014 days!!
The grebe looks very neat! Love it's feathers!
wow....those creepers really blend well!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!!!!!!!
All three are great! But I love the brown creeper especially! I'll never forget the first time I saw one creeping up the bark of a tree trunk! They are amazing little birds! Hope your Christmas was very special!
Amazing how the creeper almost disappears on the tree bark.
Quite lovely!
The Grebe is so cute!
the sparrow and creeper are both well camouflaged
I think they hang around just for the exposure

Pied-billed Grebes and Brown Creepers are two of my favourites. I haven't seen many of either, though we are occasionally lucky enough to catch a sight of one now and then. Thanks so much for this wonderful meme, Eileen. It is a treasure!
