I am linking up with Skywatch Friday and Good Fences
I hope you can join in on the fun and share your fence scenes and pretty skies.
For this week's Good Fence and Skywatch Friday memes I am sharing some local birds seen around the local river and our lake. Also, some morning glories and a few of Hubby's sky shots.
I am not sure why but I noticed on different blogger's Feedjit, the live traffic feed claims I am from Sugarland Texas. Sugarland Texas is 1,455 miles or 2341 KM from Maryland. I am pretty sure it used to say I was from Freeland Maryland. So please do not believe all that you read it is not true. Hubby and I did not move to Texas. I would like to spend my retirement in a new state but, Texas is not in the running. I assume for some reason my computer or blogger is giving a wrong location and I have no idea how to fix it.
These are some birds we saw while on one of our local walks around the neighborhood & lake. The top row is the Louisiana Waterthrush, possibly an Eastern Phoebe and a juvenile House Finch.
For Tex's Good Fences..I am sharing the morning glories growing on our fence, that is until a ground hog comes along and mows them down. :(
A Swallowtail on our Purple Coneflowers and for another fence entry, you can see our blur of our fence in the background.
These are Hubby's shots of the sunset at the lake.
Later the colors turned a little more pinkish, hubby captured beautiful reflections. I hope you enjoyed my hodgepodge of images. Thanks for stopping by and for all the nice comments.

ReplyDeleteOh Eileen, what great photographs! Love the birds that you get to see on your walk, the best fun, isn't it? Oh my, I've not seen morning in so long, brings back memories of when we lived in the country! Our fences were covered! Okay, that is one stunning photograph of the butterfly and those flowers, wow! Sunsets are glorious! Great post, again!
ReplyDeleteNancy
A breath of joy as ever! I love those Swallowtails and the sky is beautiful ... your blog is always an uplifting place to be, Eileen!

ReplyDeletesomehow I always breath more deeply and have a smile when I visit you Eileen... and it doesn't matter what the readers say, as long as YOU know where you are!!! (Mine shows up as being in three different UK places depending on the type of reader folk are using... it is all to do with file servers and 'time share' within the ether...) YAM xx
wow, such beautiful and clear photos.
ReplyDeleteYes, the morning glories get taken down here too by the little critters. lol.
~Lisa
Beautiful photos Eileen. Love the morning glories on the fence. So pretty and those skies are a great capture. Oh I wish Texas was in the running for your new state. You would love it here.

ReplyDeleteHello Eileen,
ReplyDeleteA quite visit to say hi, I don't forget you, I just can't blog much these days!!
Your Swallowtail is gorgeous, we have similar ones but pale yellow!
Your hubby's pics are fabulous, those sunsets give out quite an atmosphere :)
Keep well!
Stunning photo's here Eileen, and great to see your hubby's shots too.
ReplyDeleteYour swallow tail looks so pretty.
All the best Jan
Super sunset colors! I enjoyed seeing the birds from your area even if its not Texas!!! I noticed this happens for me too and I'm not from England or Scotland!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day!
Oh gosh - how lovely!
ReplyDeleteStunning sky shots, lovely morning glories (they really beautify the fence) and I love the shots of the butterfly and the birds.
ReplyDeleteThose butterflies are so pretty. All the photos are great.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny about the city where you live. although maybe it's a good thing. especially on blogs, it keeps you save and out of any harms way! Your morning glories are beautiful! I have the exact same ones, and they're growing like monsters in my little green house and not so much outside where they usually do. Nice photos to view over my morning coffee!
ReplyDeleteNice shots, especially the butterfly and the lake scenes. I must ditto some others' comments in that butterflies were scarce here as well the past two summers.
ReplyDeleteI like your morning glories as much as the hedgehog, Eileen.
ReplyDelete;-)
Birds and butterflies, flowers and fences, and beautiful sunset photos - a lovely hodgepodge!
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a beautiful day!
Lea
the lake view is gorgeous and the morning glories are glorious. the butterfly magnificent. you don't have to worry about what i think of where you are because i don't even know what a feejit is.
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen,
ReplyDeleteyour photos of the sunset are stunning ! So wonderful solors and reflections !
Best, Synnöve
Gorgeous pics all, especially the sunsets! From Sugarland, eh? Well, I think it's better to be from SUGARland than from someplace not quite so sweet.
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty scenes! Morning glories do love to wrap themselves up around wire mesh fences.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous photos, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy so much visit you!
Wishing you a lovely day.
beautiful skies and sweet morning glories, too! laughing at the 'move' to sugarland, texas. i know that's not exactly the coastal state you were looking for. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots!
ReplyDeleteRegards Crissi
We raise swallowtails every Summer, they are very special to me. Whoever you get your internet service from must have a connection point to the internet in Sugarland TX. For example, my former employer was headquartered in Chicago, so the whole company connected to the internet in Chicago (I am in PA). Whenever I'd visit a site, it would indicate my location as Chicago. There isn't much you can do about it. If you use Chrome, you might be able to manually enter your location.
ReplyDeleteI don't trust the (Traffic Feed) thing either. It always says I'm from some where different too. - I liked both your fence shots. The Morning Glory is such a pretty color and the butterfly was lovely.
ReplyDeleteAlso great sky shots, I like pink clouds.
Lovely mosaics, they go together so well, and the skies, those colours are magical.
ReplyDeleteLOL I see we are in good company with our computers relocating us in all kinds of weird places! Who knows how that happens!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos - hubby's too!
The swallowtail shot is lovely - love the delicate flutter of wings!
I love morning glories... and that sky. How magnificent is that!
ReplyDeleteI do love morning glories and these are beauties!
ReplyDeleteThe feeds often put me in San Francisco - a different country and on the opposite coast so who knows how it works.
Beautiful images, my favourites are the Butterfly and the sunsets over the water, fantastic.
ReplyDeleteStunning sunsets.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of flowers, butterflies and sunsets!
ReplyDeleteLovely skies and I do love the morning glories!! Terrific captures as always, Eileen, and thanks, as always, for sharing the beauty! Hope you have a lovely weekend!!

ReplyDeleteWhat sweet little birds!
As the weather warms up on this side of the world I'm starting to hear birdsong - it's lovely!
I love your butterfly shots Eileen - their wings are so delicate and beautifully painted - a great Artist at work!
Hubby's sunset shots are magical - those orange, pink, lavender skies are wonderful!

ReplyDeleteyou share so much beauty Eileen. I think I shall move to Texas :) No, kidding. You can´t change the location because the programmers knows better then you. It is the same with my. But the difference in distance is not that great.

ReplyDeleteThat very last photo is just amazing! The hues of indigos, pinks and golds are just stunning :)

ReplyDeleteHi Eileen,
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful shots of your surroundings; the morning glories, the butterfly on the coneflowers, the birds that bid you good day on your walks, but those pics of the lake are simply stunning!! Kudos to your hubby for capturing such pink perfection!
Happy weekend!
Poppy
Beautiful images, love the butterfly, the birds and the lake! Your photos tell a story that so pleasing and serene. Thanks for sharing :-)
ReplyDeleteMaya from Pompeii | Naples, Italy
Your morning glories are beautiful and I enjoyed the gorgeous sunset photos. We've had very few butterflies around our property this year. So strange. Have a great day Eileen.
ReplyDeleteBoa tarde, encanta-me apreciar e sua magia fotográfica.
ReplyDeleteAG
Your sky pictures are very beautiful ! I also love the butterfly !
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about your location, once they had put me in a school in New York where apparently I had studied ! Unfortunately I don't remember, lol !
Love the pinks and blues -- the sky and the pretty coneflower with its lovely butterfly ornament. and of course always your wonderful birds. I have t laugh at your google thingamajig "moving" you to Texas ... lots of jokes I could think of. Whenever I happen to notice mine, it shows something different every time (when we're here in Oregon)... it never says the right place, I think we are too small here in Veneta to show up. So nobody knows where we really are ha ha, maybe we are under the witness protection plan ;>)))
ReplyDeleteI love the sky reflections on the water- so pretty. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletegorgeous sunset & butterfly with the coneflower! happy weekend!!! ( ;
ReplyDeleteWow, that is wonderful ! I love the butterflies !!
ReplyDeleteSimply love all your photos Eileen & your sky shots are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI chuckled at feedjit saying you lived in Texas. It often says I live in Victoria which us several hours over the water by ferry or plane. It only started doing that recently. Long ago I had another site that used to say I was from Kentucky though I live in Canada.
A great Hodgepodge! Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...what stunning photos. I just love the morning glories...want to try to grow some next year. Oh...and those skies....! Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteLove the butterfly and love your husband's shots. I love the skies as they transition from pink to kind of an orange sherbet.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! The butterfly shot is exquisite.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skies! I love the morning glories and the butterflies.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful hodge podge Eileen!
ReplyDeleteLove your morning glories, they have a
beautiful colour.
And I have to say you are both excellent
photographers, love the sunset pictures!

Louisiana Waterthrush has been my nemesis bird in North America. I have only ever seen one individual and that was in Costa Rica.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteWonderful sunset.
What a fabulous series of images! Gorgeous skies, lovely flowers and beautiful butterflies.
