Saturday's Critters #225

Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

I have been enjoying the birds right outside my window, the spring birds are arriving and the winter birds are still here as I type this post.  These may not be the clearest photos, they were all taken from my closed dining room window.

The Yellow-shafted Northern Flicker

Pine Warbler and a male Downy Woodpecker

Two Pine Warblers male and female and the Downy Woodpecker.

Female Pine Warbler, they are breeder in the watershed and forest around my house. I have seen the male Pine Warbler most of the winter.

Northern Flicker, Downy Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Red-winged Blackbird, Pine Warbler, Caroline Wren

I appreciate and thank everyone who links up their post and for all the wonderful comments this past year !

Here is a list of my linky parties;

Hello Eileen,
I realise I am a very poor blogger but I spent most of my time taking photos and I will be off again to Africa in 2 weeks time!!
You really have gorgeous birds in your garden and they must appreciate your caring for them :)
Enjoy your weekend and keep well!

love the variety of birds in your garden.
The miration has started now but there are still much ice on the lakes.
Good, it keeps me busy :)

Hello Eileen. Your bird feeders are obviously doing a very valuable bit of work there. Helping to keep winter birds alive and feeding up those little warblers. Enjoy your weekend and stay warm.

That yellow-shafted Northern Flicker is so beautiful! I would love to see that too.
Love that photo collage at the end, an amazing collection of lovely birds.
Thanks for this meme again. Unfortunately, I have no critters in my latest blog, so I can't link up this time. But you're welcome to see my northern lights experience.
Have a great weekend!

we are so lucky to have such wonderful views, right outside our windows!! the flickers are beautiful, although i see them, i find them difficult to photograph. i always open the window...and let all the heat out and chuck never says a word!! by this time of year, my windows are filthy!!!

i always enjoy seeing pops of yellow at the feeders. it is probably my favorite color to see there!!

You certainly have a colorful variety of birds today. I'm always partial to the flickers. They look so elegant. Have a wonderful weekend!

We've been seeing a lot of birds migrating this week so watch out for more to come. Yours get along better at the feeders than ours! lol Enjoy your weekend! Hugs, Diane

The Flicker is beautiful! Don't see them at the feeders here. Nor the warblers. We are getting more snow this morning, though, so the robins are eating suet. LOL

What a lovely array of our fine feathered friends. I remember the first Northern Flicker I saw in my yard and thought "what a colorful Mourning Dove". I know better now. They do look like they are related though, in my opinion. Distant cousins maybe. Have a great weekend!

Such a variety of birds.... and your photos are so clear and finely detailed...my next step is to purchase a better camera... But I loved the flicker the beat I believe... Gorgeous photos!

Hello Eileen!:) Visions of loveliness, all of them. I just love the Yellow-shafted Flicker, and the pretty yellow warblers. Your collage is beautiful.:) Thank you so much for hosting.

Love the pine warblers!!! You have probably seen my comments on other blogs that we had to take down our bird feeders this week ... bears are coming out of their dens and everyone is trying to avoid habituating them to back yards as food sources!!! Thanks for hosting and have a super weekend!

I have only seen Flickers in the wild lately. Great shots of all the birds! I see the same ones here... love it! Thanks for sharing! Hugs!

Oh, beautiful images of gardening, stay well Eileen.

Kenneth Cole Schneider said...

You are making my feeder envy worse. We cannot have a feeder here because of the pesky ducks, pigeons and parakeets which can spill all the seed in minutes (and invite the rodents to partake).

Such pretty birds - that Northern Flicker is my favorite of this group. Have a wonderful weekend!

What fun at your feeders! The Warbler is something we don't have in my corner of VA. But I was told this week to get my hummingbird feeder back up - It just doesn't feel like time yet -- But I'm still waiting for the return of my favorite bird, the Eastern Phoebe who is late returning.

Linda said...

I enjoy your birds! I am now down to only stocking my feeders with black thistle seed and red pepper suet in hopes that Mr. Bear doesn't like those flavors. I know the squirrels don't! But as soon as my current supply is gone, I am done with feeding until the bears go away for the winter. Sad but bears are a nuisance here.
