I see the Pine Warbler at my feeder daily, the males are such a pretty yellow color. The Downy Woodpecker and Carolina Wren also enjoy this suet feeder.

  12. I am always amazed when I see a Pine Warbler on a bird feeder. I have never seen that happen here, perhaps because when they arrive they are focused on finding a mate and a nest site. It’s pouring rain this morning so we had to close our nets - no bird banding today.

  13. Nice to see the Pine Warblers, such a hardy lat. They were scarce in my south Florida neighborhood this winter and spring. I think Mr Linky overslept this morning. Will try to get back later.

  32. Hi Eileen! I've had visits by the Carolina Wrens, but haven't seen any in a couple of years now. I still get the Carolina Chickadees, and love them dearly. One year I also got to photograph a Tufted Titmouse, and I was so fascinated with this bird. Maybe I can do a sharing critter post on that one someday. You've gotten great shots of these birds, and I would love to have a visit from a Pine Warbler. I don't have any luck with the suet cages...no one likes them. I always end up throwing them away.

I've been absent for a little while, and pretty busy with my grandson at school. Have a Happy Mother's Day, Eileen!

  33. I'm amazed at the variety of birds you get at your feeders, Eileen! And also a bit envious! ;-)

  34. I can't get over how handsome the woodpecker is every time I see one. I went on a boat bird tour for a bird festival nearby and barely spotted a thing even though I could hear them, I don't know how you all develop those laser-focused eyes! The male Pine Warbler is so festive.
