Happy Thankful Thursday!

 Happy Thankful Thursday!

I am thankful for some warm sunny days.  😊  I am thankful and appreciate the beauty around me.

Ignoring the chances of catching the virus on March 8-10 hubby and I decided to take a short trip. We went to the Delaware Shore and Ocean City Md.  We waited for months (Jan & Feb) for the weather to be just right for our getaway.  We visited Bombay Hook Nat'l Wildlife Refuge, Delaware's Indian River Inlet seaside park, Ocean City, Assateague Island Nat'l Seashore and last but not least the Blackwater Nat'l Wildlife Refuge in Cambridge Md.

These are images from March 8th taken at Bombay Hook NWR and the Indian River Inlet Seaside Park. Click on photos for larger viewing.

Below a large group of American Avocets and two Bald Eagles if you can find them in the tree tops.

A closer look at the American Avocets and a couple of Northern Pintail ducks.

The colorful Northern Shovelers with Northern Pintail ducks.

I felt lucky to find this one Sandhill Crane at Bombay Hook NWR. It was standing not far off from a Great Blue Heron.

Me and my shadow, surfers in the distance. Temps in the mid 50's to low 60's and windy.

We saw a lot of the Long-tailed Ducks at the Indian River Inlet.

 Indian River Inlet bridge.

Surfers at the Indian River Inlet Seashore.

I am thankful for a great getaway, walks on the beaches and watching the birds. Fingers crossed hubby and I do not get the virus. Take care and I hope everyone is well.  May good health envelope you!

I am thankful for my reading time and books.
My latest read library ebook: James Patterson's, The Big Bad Wolf # 9 in the Alex Cross series.
Currently reading Karin Slaughter's,  Fallen  # 5 in the Will Trent series.

I am always thankful for your visits and comments.
Live simple and be happy!  😊

  14. Your first three photos are showing up fine. Beautiful to be out and about in the great outdoors. I’m assuming that being out in nature is far safer right now than being at crowded social gatherings or even a busy mall. Take care!

  16. It does feel risky to travel but at least when we get out in nature, we can stay healthy. I'm encouraging my family to get outside and take a walk instead of shop and go to restaurants! Love those Eagles high in the tree and the Crane is a neat sighting! Your shadows are neat. Why do our husbands always look so tall and thin though! lol Hugs!
