Saturday's Critters # 369

 Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

Hello and happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

I have had a lot of time on my hands since Covid started, some of this time is spent feeding and watching my yard birds.  I hope you never get tired of seeing my birds.

1.  The cute Carolina Chickadee is a daily visitor. They love the sunflower seeds.

2. I see a few of the Tufted Titmouse at my feeders, they are pretty birds.

3. The Red-bellied Woodpeckers can be seen coming and going to my feeders. They love the little suet balls and the peanuts.

4. The Dark-eyed Juncos are usually eating off the ground  but sometimes I catch them at my feeders.

5.  Below is a Dark-eyed Junco in the back and up front on the feeder is a White-breasted Nuthatch.

6.  The Pileated Woodpecker does not come to the feeders but I do see it at the pile of wood in the back part of our yard.

Thanks to all my visitors and for your comments. Stop back to see any replies to your comments. I appreciate everyone who loves critters and has linked up their critter post.

Here is my linky:

  1. Hi Eileen, Sure enjoyed all your photos. The Red-bellied Woodpecker is a great shot. Linking up with you today. I thought you might enjoy my picture of all the American Robins in the tree in my front yard. They were there long enough for me to grab the camera and capture the shot. Thanks for hosting and sharing Saturday's Critters #369. John

  3. I used to love sunflower seeds too and spend a lot of time cracking the seeds. The woodpecker seems to be more interested in the pile of wood than the seeds. Bird watching is good for relaxation.

  8. I have been seeing more birds this winter than the previous two winters in this house. We had two northern flickers, and a dark-eyed junco. What I haven't seen (or heard) is the jays. That is what we predominately had the past two years.

I wish we would get some of the variety you have. LOL

The Carolina Chickadee and the Titmouse are so adorable, I wish we had them. And your woodpeckers are so interesting. Last two years I have only seen one species of woodpecker around in my area. Earlier there was two. :(

  21. Hello Eileen. And the answer to your question is "No". I do not tire of seeing your garden birds. In these deeply depressing times to see your colourful birds is great. You are to be congratulated for keeping those feeders topped up. As you know, I would live to see a Pileated Woodpecker. I wonder if there is somewhere in your garden to hide out of sight so as to get really close to the Pileateds? I would be trying that should I be so lucky as to see them regularly.

    Have a great weekend.

  24. Hello Eileen,:=) Happy New Year! It's taken me a while to get here, I'm a bit slower than I used to be! The lovely Woodpeckers make me jealous, I haven't seen a Woodpecker in my garden for ages. Delightful captures of the Sweet Chickadee, and Tufted Tit Mouse, They are dear little birds. Superb photography throughout your post Eileen. I have missed seeing your posts.
