4th of July weekend

I am linking up with Mosaic Monday and Our World Tuesday

These are some scenes from my 4th of July weekend.. We had a nice weekend, dinner out with our son, seeing the fireworks with a good friend and some neighbor photos..

Marlow is my neighbor's dog, a few weeks ago he was hit by a car in front of our house. He looked pretty bad on that day and yesterday I was able to go and visit with him. He is home from the re-hab vet hospital and is still recovering from fractures on his spine and has to take medicine for the next 8 weeks to keep him calm. Please send a prayer for Marlow! I wish him well, he is such a happy cute dog..

While visiting Marlow in our neighbor's front yard, I was able to see the Great Blue Herons in their nest.. It looked like three rather large heron chicks..The chicks are loud and fussy.. I can hear them loud and clear from my yard, they can sound like wild animals fighting..

These are some of my backyard birds from this weekend..The Eastern Bluebird, Ruby-throated Hummingbird and the Northern Cardinal..My version of red, white and blue..

On July 4th hubby and I visited with my friend Janis, I wanted to see her new puppy dog Elsa.. Also included are Piglet, Elsa in the middle and guinea pig Guinness.

Also, from July 4th the moon and firework display from Jacobus, Pa.

I hope you enjoyed your 4th of July and or your weekend. I am happy to see you visit my post and photos.

I just love reading about your 4th July weekend, Eileen. The heron chicks are awesome, as are the dogs and guinea pig as well as your moon and fireworks shots. Awesome. I send earnest prayers for dear little Marlow. He looks a cheerful young dog (reminds me of our Princess here in Mwadui!) and I believe he will improve as time goes by. Have a great day. Jo

The dogs are loved as persons, I had a female dog sixteen years and I know what it is to suffer for it.

I am glad you had a great weekend Eileen, lovely to share in some of your 4th of July celebrations! Horrible news to hear about Marlow, I have just been looking after a friends dog who the same thing happened to, he has made a full recovery (they are still recovering from the expense mind you!) so I am hoping Marlow will be the same.

HI, Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. We certainly did! We did have one crazy thing to happen... We have NEVER had to put up our Hummingbird Feeders at nights. BUT--this morning we saw the one in our front yard on the ground! Wooo--wonder what got into that one?????? Our fun with critters never ends! ha

Glad the puppy next door is okay. He certainly is a cute dog...Hope he continues to do well. What was he doing in the road? Are dogs allowed to just roam free in that neighborhood? Maybe they need to put in a fence.. OR --maybe he just got loose --which can happen..

Love your bird photos and the fireworks...

Hugs,
Betsy
I've probably seen most of your photos on FB but wow, what a capture of the fireworks!
