Weekend Walk

Linking up with Skywatch Friday  and Good Fences  and NF Winged

These are some shots from our walk at the local nature center, I started off my post with the moon setting on the morning of t July 17th.

I love taking shots of the moon from our deck..

The sun was up and I still had a good view of the moon.

We must have saw thousands of dragonflies  at the nature center. This one has a pretty blue sky behind it.

Put a fence around it! This looks like  a garden fenced off to keep the critters away?

We actually saw two Red-tailed Hawks flying around and making loud calls.

I love these white puffy clouds over the nature center field..

The sky and some pretty yellow coneflowers..

This House Wren seemed upset I was taking photos near its birdhouse..

I hope you enjoyed my post and photos

  5. i enjoy those clouds shots. the cone flowers & the wren. while on a trip in early July we got to see a different kind of wren. it was very similar to the one we get to see in our yard ... similar tunes. so pretty. for such a small bird they really do have loud pipes. ( :

  6. Beautiful post! I suspect the House Wren was about to give you a lecture. Smart folks to put a fence around their garden. Something has been sneaking into ours and eating our green tomatoes. At first we thought it was tomato worms, but teeth marks makes us think possible a ground hog or possum.

  8. Great photos of the moon and the close-up of the wren is excellent.

  9. Lovely wildflowers. Im not sure those fences would keep any critters away, unless mesh or screening was added to cover them. We had a fence with very small holes in it and the rabbits still got to our newly-sprouted bean plants ---ate every one of them. We finally added an electrical element to the fence (powered by one D battery all summer) replanted and that kept them out.

  18. Great images, and for keeping the critters out possibly on that extremely artistic fence. But whatever their reason, it works!

  19. Oops, I also meant to say, what a cool fence for all those climbing vines and flowers such as the morning glory!

  20. Pretty scenery! And the fence is very unique. We need to put a fence around our garden if we decide to plant again next year. Whatever will keep the critters out works for me!
