Hello,
Happy Thursday and Happy November everyone!
The days and months are flying by, or is it just me. I am sharing a few favorite October images in a mosaic.
"Wake up each day and be thankful for life."
It has been a few years since I have seen the Red-breasted Nuthatch in my yard. My mosaic below shows both the Red-breasted on the left and the White-breasted Nuthatch on the left seen on 10/17/18.
Always thankful for the blue sky.

Having the Screech Owl visit my yard in October made my month. :)
Always thankful for the blue sky.

ReplyDeleteNice to see the nuthatches. I have both Red-breasted and White-breasted coming to my feeders. White-breasted is to be expected, but I haven’t seen Red-breasted for a couple of years - on my feeder that is.

ReplyDeleteThe mosaics are beautiful, Eileen, and I love that blue sky and billowing white cloud! Happy November.
ReplyDeleteI needed some of your quotes for my post today! A thankful heart is a happy heart is perfect! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThanks for more beauty of nature shared with me. Gratitude is here...and I hope whoever might still be skeptical that their vote matters, will go ahead and vote, because elections are our best promise for the future from today! Barb at Alchemy of Clay
ReplyDeleteI’ve never seen a white breasted nuthatch. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collage, It's wonderful to get birds visiting our gardens :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the week Eileen.
A beautiful collage to display your lovely photos. Your bird and owl photos are nice to see. Have a wonderful start to a new month. It sure does feel like the days are sprinting by. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHere the red breasted nuthatch is much more common than the white breasted nuthatch. The red breasted stays all winter.
ReplyDeleteLovely walk back into the month of October and well-made collage and recollection of moments!
ReplyDeleteHappy November
Beautiful photos of the two Nuthatches!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday!
Hope November is a wonderful month for you!

Can't believe it is November already! Lovely shots.
ReplyDeleteThe owl is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteNice to have both Nuthatches, I have only seen a few reds. I caught the same white breasted 3 years in a row banding birds at the same location. They remind me of little clowns and always catch my eye.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collage, well done Eileen. And I, agree with you, get him out.....
ReplyDeletebeautiful eileen, what a month!! i see both of the nuthatches here and i have been seeing them more lately. the owl i'm sure was a big treat, unexpected as well!! you have gotten some great pictures of it!!!
ReplyDeletelove the tiny yellow bird in the center of the collage and also the way the light hits the bird on the feeder.
ReplyDeleteI like your mosaic. Happy November to you!
ReplyDeleteLove the collage! Happy November to you too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with the birds you see in your yeard. Wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBoth the Red-breasted and White-breasted Nuthatches are regular visitors at the feeders I view. Neither of them stays still for long though! I'm still thrilled for you to have that owl in the yard, Eileen!
ReplyDeleteLovely! Everyday is a good day to be thankful. Enjoyed your photos...

ReplyDeleteIt is not just you, the days just fly by.
Beautiful sky, so cool that you were visited (and able to photograph) the screech owl, and I can't believe it's November already!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I love this owl, Eileen. Happy November, my friend.

ReplyDeleteYou always do such a nice job with your mosaics. Yes, the days and months seem like they are flying by.
ReplyDeleteI love all the photos. That beautiful sky shot is particularly nice. I agree that the time just flies by rather far too quickly. I want time to slow down a bit so I can do all I want to do :-) Have an awesome weekend Eileen.

ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
lovely photos, particularly nice to see the two nuthatches
ReplyDeletegood weather and happy birding
ReplyDeleteHi Eileen, What a neat post! “Wake up each day and be thankful for life.” That has been my motto ever since triple bypass heart surgery 8 years ago. And yes, the older I get, the faster the days fly by. I love your October mosaic. You inspire me to see if I can do something like that on John’s Island. :-) And wow … what a great visit by the Screech Owl! Sky pic is great too! Lastly … I mailed in my ballot yesterday. It feels better than ever to say, “I voted!” Thanks, as always, for sharing and for your kind comments on John’s Island. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThere is much to be thankful for here.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely seeing your critters.
I've missed your beautiful birds and creatures. So glad to be back -- this is a nice welcome.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, collage, mosaic . . .
ReplyDeleteRed breasted Nuthatch . . . first I knew.
Happy you had the visit.
Oh my . . . it has been a gorgeous fall here . . . I have been in awe of the beauty.
I have said it many times in the past days . .
We have been “gifted” with a magical brilliant yellow in the leaf color mix.
Not my favorite of the colors usually, but YELLOW takes the prize this year.
Happy November Days Eileen . . .
