Saturday's Critters #370

 Welcome to Saturday's Critters!

Hello and happy Saturday!

If you love all God's creatures like I do and also like to blog about them and take critter photos this is where you can share your critter post. Link up your post and share your critters, join in with my critter party ! You can share any kind of critters the real ones, pretend ones, statues and paintings, a new or old post!

My post is on dogs and more dogs.  I have always been a dog lover, during our travels I tend to greet any dog I see on the trails. These are some of the dogs hubby and I have met in various places.  A few birds are included...

1.  A pretty Collie was seen on a beach near the Palm Coast,  during one of our many Florida trips.

 2.  These two Golden Doodles loved my hubby.

3. I met this cute puppy while waiting for my hubby who was hiking up a mountain trail in Colorado.

4. Sol Duc Falls in Washington, hubby sat on a bench and this dog walked over and practically sat in my hubby's lap.

5. This dog was waiting for it's human to return.

6.  All the dogs we met have been very friendly and well behaved.

7. This was another cute puppy we met on the trails at Lake Parker Florida.

8. Some times we came across dogs meeting other dogs on the trail. This was one of our regular Florida walks, the trails at Lake Parker.

9. We also met a lot of birds on our walks, Lake Parker was a very "birdie" park.  Some times the birds were right on the trail. Below is the Roseate Spoonbill and a couple of Wood Storks standing on the bridge. We had to wait till they moved off.

10.  This is Peaches, she was our neighbor's dog when we lived in Lakeland Florida.

 11.  This was a new sight for hubby and I to see on our bike trail. Apparently you can book a ride with this sled dog adventure. On this day it looked like a group of girl scouts were going to be going for the sled rides.

12. Maryland  Sled Dog Adventures on the NCR trail. These dogs looked and sounded so happy, very excited to start running.

I didn't hear GO, I tried to get a shot of them taking off but I looked up from my camera they were down the trail already. The sled has wheels but when we have snow on the ground they use  a regular sled.

  18. these are so wonderful to me, I do the same thing, or did when I used to go out hiking. every single photo today warms the cockles of my heart. Storks are a favorite bird of mine, I like the birds that lean towards ugly, like pelicans and storks and vultures. i once met a doodle in Walmart, shocked to see him sitting by his owner who was sitting on a bench waiting for RX... i wanted to take him home

Loved to see the Sled Dog Adventures. When I visited the north part of Norway the lodge we stayed at had one. I was hoping to be able to get a ride in the snow. But as we were on a birding trip it wasn´t. And I´m still disappoined of that.

  32. Hi Eileen, What a neat post with all the dog photos. During my seven decades :-) there were two times when I had a dog. The first was when I was just a kid and my dog met me at the bus stop every day when I got home from school. The second was later in life. Loved him but had to let him go when I moved to Washington State and moved into an apartment that would not allow pets. Yet another dog is still on the want list when the time is right. I enjoyed all your photos. I also noticed that, in the photo with hubby, he has a nice pair of binoculars. I always know a serious birder when I see them with their binoculars. :-) Thanks for another fine Saturday's Critters. Have a happy weekend, take care, and stay well. PS Maryland Sled Dog Adventures = how cool is that! :-)

  34. Oh Eileen, this was a fantastic post!! I LOVE dogs...they are all so adorable...those huskies. Really, I'm sure I've said this before, but our husky Charlie MUST have been the leader of a pack of sled dogs before we rescued her...does she ever pull, and she bucks like a bronco when she wants to run lol...Peaches is adorable and so are the puppies. Collies have a big spot in my heart, they are so sweet looking. When I was a kid we had a collie names Ginger...I still miss her!!

By the way, thanks for the comment about the birds. I thought about Pine Siskins and I'll have to look up Redpolls!

I hope your eyes are better today. Now and then I get "light shows" that the doctor said are ocular migraines. It starts off small and has to get to its until size to disappear. I think I'd rather have the light show than the headache.
