Welcome to Saturday's Critters!
Hello, Happy Saturday!
1. Below top are the Pine Siskin and bottom are the Northern Cardinal with 2 Pine Siskins.
2. The Pine Siskin is close to 5 inches in size. It has a thin bill and a yellow streak on it's wings.
3. A closer look at the Purple Finch, it has a forked tail. It's head and back are a rich rose red or raspberry color.
4. Top is the Carolina Wren, below is a Downy Woodpecker and a White-breasted Nuthatch and a Red-breasted Nuthatch.
5. A male Purple Finch
6. A female Red-breasted Nuthatch, the head was moving causing a blurry look.
I hope you enjoyed these birds, I am always happy to watch my feeders and yard birds.

Beautiful birds! Our feeders aren't attracting as many as yours, but we have a few good birds in the parks.

I enjoy seeing the birds visiting the bird feeders. You have captured some nice close up of the birds. Over here the birds are just too fast for me or too far away. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hello, Hope you are doing well.
Lovely birds photos.
Happy Weekend.
Hi Eileen, Thanks for hosting Saturday's Critters #371. I always enjoy your yard birds. The Northern Cardinal is wonderful. I'm linking up with the story of my Mountain Bluebirds. Thanks again. Have a happy weekend! John
The Purple Finch is beautiful, and a lovely feeder too.
Hello Eileen,
The Purple Finch is very beautiful. It's lovely to see the other birds too.
Happy weekend, and take care!
What pretty girls come to your feeders Eileen it must give you hours of pleasure. Thanks for hosting, stay safe and have a great weekend.
Today I discovered another bird new to me: the Purple Finch. Awesome. Thanks!
Have a great weekend with many feathered visitors!
Hi Eileen,
This is a wonderful series of photos.
It's great that you get all this in your garden, the red cardinal is only found here in the zoo, the other species we have here in the Netherlands in the wild.
Would you like to post my link, I can't.
Have a nice weekend and stay healthy.
Ohhh, hey´re all beautiful, and elegant!
And cute.
Hello, Eileen. Good shots. Purple Finch has lovely colour.
Thank you for hosting.
Looks as if the explosion of northern visitors is continuing. A female Purple Finch got down into Florida this week, not nearly close enough for us at the southern end of the peninsula. Thanks for sharing those nice feeder shots!
Lots of visitors to your feeders, how nice that you can watch and photograph them. I love the Northern Cardinal, it really stands out. Thanks for sharing, have a great weekend and stay safe. Thanks for hosting.
Hello Eileen, You have so many lovely bird visitors to your well stocked feeders. Love the sweet Carolina Wren, the Pine Siskin ( which I have never seen before) and the brightly coloured Purple Finch and Cardinal. I'm glad you posted the Nuthatch, one of my favourites. I'll try to link up later.
Eileen, todos eles são lindos e cada um com sua característica, como as pessoas...Adorei! Ótimo fim de semana, beijos, chica
Beautiful birds. Must be a pleasure to watch that feeder and to photograph.

Hello Eileen,
What a nice pictures of these birds.
They are very nice. That purple finch is so special. Very nice to see him here.
Greetings, Marco
A lovely collection of birds, Eileen, I guess they must be grateful for the food in your yard during the Winter!
The cardinal is quite impressive!
Thank you for hosting, Eileen. Have a great new week!
Great photos today Eileen. The Pine Siskins are how do say "neat". Their plumage is just perfect for hiding from predators. Not so for the male Purple Finches. They must have another trick in the book. Thanks for the link today 😊.
Oh me, what a gorgeous cardinal!!! Just takes my nreath away!! Happy day to you!!
Such beautiful visitors. I get crows.
You have some pretty birds at your feeders right now. We have big flocks here and have a time keeping the feeders filled! Happy weekend! I love your little Wren!
They are all so beautiful. The Purple Finch is definitely my favorite! Have a great weekend Eileen :)

Great little friends that you're feeding. They depend on you, and all you ask in return is to take their photos!

Commons Redpolls and Pine Siskins are all around us this year but so far neither one has accepted my offer to visit the feeders in my backyard. And I laid out a fine feast for them too!

Pine Siskin is a very cute bird. To bad we don´t have it. :) The Purple Finch is also gorgeous with it´s special coloring. We don´t have that one either :( And your little wren is so sweet. That is one good thing with birding. You always find beautiful creatures around you. I only wish life would be a bit more easy for them.
Take care! And enjoy the coming week.
Hi Eileeninmd,
Wonderful selection of photos of beautiful birds, I especially loved the Purple Finch.
Be careful and stay well.
Greetings
The birds are a delight.
Great photos!
I saw a purple finch here in North Mississippi today, but no photo.
Thanks for hosting!
What dear little birds, they are all so charming and adorable. Must be great having them visit your yard.
Have a happy day :) xx
I enjoyed all your bird photos today especially the pine siskin. Now I'll have an even better idea what to look for should I think I spot one out at my feeder. The purple finch as well, though I've not seen as many of my finches this winter. Hope you are having a great weekend!
We finally have birds coming to the feeder we bought. They needed to find it and figure out that we had hung it. It's fun to watch them. You got some great photos of the beauties that have come to your feeder. Happy weekend to you.
Hello Eileen, I love all your birds and learning their names. I thought the other day that growing up in Sweden, I could identify all birds, or at least, most of them, by name. Here, it hasn't been as easy. So it's fun to visit you and other blogs with birds and learn a little.
Beautiful birds! Thanks for hosting. The linkups encourage me to take more Critter pictures.
I just LOVE the wren! Their perky tail & happy personality always makes me smile!
Thanks so much for sharing this at IRBB this week.

Beautiful photos, as always. I'm having trouble sitting with my back pain. It's really frustrating.

I loved seeing these. Right now about all I can get is startlings. I will swear that I am not even going to try again, but always end up buying a couple bags of feed and every time the startlings get almost all of it.
Thank you Missy!

Lovely to see your Carolina Wren - isn't it interesting how different all the wren birds in the world are? The British & Aussie ones different yet again. Have a lovely week Eileen
Wren x
Thank you Wren!
They are cute birds.
Take care, enjoy your day!
The birds are wonderful -- you have such a great variety. I am sure that is partly because of the variety of feeders and seeds you are using; I enjoy seeing those feeders also. (Of course another reason is that I'm sure the birds know that your yard is a safe and wonderful place to stop for a bite to eat!!)
Hi Eileen, beautiful little birds. I like the Caroline wren. Thank you for visiting my blog. Greetings Caroline
Thank you Caroline!
Take care, enjoy your day!
You know I always grin from ear to ear when I see your Wrens!
Have a lovely week Eileen

I love the wrens too. Have a great day and happy week ahead.
Wonderful bird photo's! You got a good mix. The Bridge gives me the willies. Not sure I would be able to cross it. In fact pretty sure I probably couldn't.
