Linking up with Wild Bird Wednesday and Nature Notes and NC Sue Wordless
I hope you can join in and share your wild birds and nature scenes.
For this week's wild bird I am sharing the Glossy Ibis. Lately on my outings I have seen the Glossy Ibis both in Maryland and in Delaware. It is a beautiful bird, especially when the sun hits it glossy feathers making them look iridescent.
The Glossy Ibis seen at the Swan Harbor Farms Park in Havre de Grace, Md. The Glossy Ibis has a white border surrounding the dark face during breeding season. It has a dusky face and dark eyes and a long curved bill.
The Glossy Ibis seen at Bombay Hook NWR in Delaware.
Glossy Ibis in flight over the Swan Harbor Farms Park in Maryland. They look neat in flight with their long bills in front and with their long legs stretched out behind them.
And a Glossy Ibis seen at the Merritt Island NWR in Florida. They are found up and down the East coast of the USA.
I hope you enjoyed my wild bird post and photos. Till next week's wild bird post. Join in and post your birdies and to see more beautiful and wonderful bird and nature photos please visit:
